Job Description

Job Summary


Ubisoft Entertainment is seeking a highly organized project manager with outstanding communication abilities and proven experience in project management. The project manager will oversee the game from QC perspective to interface with development teams on QC initiatives while identifying and communicating QC needs. The ideal candidate shall have the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel. Strong game knowledge and product management experience in the game are required. The position will require the person to work closely with QC Teams from multiple studios and the development teams to ensure high level of collaboration on the assigned title.


Job Duties /Responsibilities


Project Management


  • Actively participate in the definition of the Roadmap and strategy for the Tech teams.
  • Take ownership of the action items defined in the Roadmap and collaborate closely with different stakeholders to ensure traction and establish good governance for progress.
  • Manage project lifecycles on development and maintenance projects, utilizing estimation methodologies and quality processes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks affecting ongoing projects to ensure smooth progress and timely delivery.
  • Perform project planning and scheduling, manage tasks, and coordinate project resources to meet objectives and timelines effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing the delivery team's performance and output.
  • Manage resource movements across projects and effectively allocate resources based on capacity.
  • Mentor project delivery team members, ensuring adoption of suitable project management techniques.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal and external teams, managing work-streams with competing priorities.
  • Compile documentation for reporting, including status reports, development progress, and ensure stakeholders have up-to-date reports, project milestones, and visibility to capacity.
  • Standardize and optimize processes with checklists, lessons learned, business cases, and documentation.
  • Plan and conduct training and mentoring sessions for team members.
  • Assist team members in clarifying their career goals and provide guidance on achieving them within the organization.
  • Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and support continuous improvement to drive project success.
  • Identify relevant trainings for team members based on allocated projects and technical needs.
  • Manage and plan resource allocation of the production team for current and upcoming work.
  • Integrate new employees, promote team spirit, acknowledge achieved performance, and maintain high team engagement.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends.

Team Management


  • Create a fun and conducive environment for all the resources in the team to make sure they have maximum throughput.
  • Regularly conduct meetings with the leads to provide visibility on the project priorities, timeline, production feedback etc.
  • Regularly conduct team meetings to make sure the team provides overall project visibility.
  • Ensure high level of collaboration between the QC teams, define the best practices to be followed and create information sharing platforms where all involved teams can contribute.
  • Identify talents within the team and create roles where their areas of expertise can be better utilized within the teams.
  • Use Pulse Survey data to improve Team engagement.
  • Resource Management / Planning / Utilization


Ensure 100% utilization of the team i.e., every resource should be billed on the project, any resource billed under AVAILABILITY should be discussed in prior with the Program / Operation manager.

Handle downtime [less than 1 week] proactively by planning team development activities.

Proactively communicate any anticipated major down time [more than 1 week] to Program manager and coordinate accordingly to explore if any assistance / support is required on any other project / task.


Team Development


  • Identify Skills Gaps and plan for training & workshops on the topics required for managers in the team.
  • Create a team-based leadership development program.
  • Creating and driving a long-term plan for training and development for the project for your project
  • Developing SME's and setting up development training with the help of Prod partners
  • Setting up OKR's for direct reports, reviewing and providing feedback on the progress made by the team member on a quarterly basis.
  • Looking out for training and development opportunities from other projects, departments, test studios which could be beneficial for the team and project.
  • Instill a culture of excellence within your team and encourage them to improve on a daily basis. Promote your team success internally and promote a pride feeling within the team.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement.

Ensure the team is operationally efficient while working from office as well as home.

Ensuring team has required infra, space in office to execute responsibilities efficiently.
