Strategic Sourcing Specialist

ABB is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support regional/global sourcing initiatives. This role requires 8-10 years of experience in supplier development, SCM, and commercial aspects of contract management. Strong experience in Drive panels (Low Voltage and Medium Voltage) is preferred.

This position reports to Procurement Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional/global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional/global Category Manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Each day, you will purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring the purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. The work model for the role is This role is contributing to the Motion business for System Drives division in Nelamangala -Bangalore. You will be mainly accountable for: Supporting the development and implementation of regional/global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional/global category leader. Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renewing price lists and terms and conditions. Running benchmark studies for the Category team and for specific sourcing initiatives. Creating local contract amendments to frame agreements on behalf of a country and updates/maintains frame contracts. Qualifications For The Role <ul><li>Requires a BE in Electrical , Electrical and Electronics engineering. </li><li>Prefer 8-10 years of related work experience (preferably in Drive panels. Low Voltage and Medium voltage)</li><li>Strong experience in Supplier development work related SCM activities</li><li>Experience in Supplier sustainability programs preferred</li><li>Expertise in commercial aspects of contract management including taxations </li></ul>
