Responsibilities include creating functional, non-functional, service, and security-focused designs, ensuring alignment with company IT strategy and standards.  The role demands extensive stakeholder engagement, strong communication, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business-understandable language.  A comprehensive understanding of project lifecycle methodologies (primarily agile) and strong technical experience across various domains (e.g., infrastructure, BI, pensions) are essential. Financial acumen and the ability to balance long-term vision with short-term objectives are also key requirements. As a Staff Software Engineer (Rust) at Apollo, you will build, test, and maintain fault-tolerant infrastructure for GraphQL runtime platforms.  Your work will focus on ensuring security, performance, and reliability of the core GraphOS engine. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining public APIs used by demanding GraphQL workloads, engaging directly with users to understand their needs and debug issues.
