Unreal Engine Programmer - Bike Physics

ASBO Interactive seeks an experienced programmer skilled in vehicle physics for a downhill mountain biking game on next-generation consoles using Unreal Engine. This role offers significant creative freedom and opportunities for individual contributions. Responsibilities include expanding a blueprint-based prototype, developing a flexible bike customization system, creating a rider animation system linked to bike physics, implementing a robust scoring system, developing custom tools, and assisting with ad-hoc programming tasks.

ASBO Interactive is looking for an experienced programmer that excels in vehicle physics to work 
on a Downhill Mountain Biking game aimed at next gen consoles using Unreal Engine. 
The role offers exceptional creative freedom, and opportunity for individual input. 

Responsibilities

• Work alongside game designer and expand on our existing blueprint based prototype. 
• Develop a flexible bike customisation system allowing for different genre of bikes, suspension 
designs and wheel sizes 
• Develop system for rider animations to link with bike physics 
• Implement a robust scoring system for tricks, combos, manuals gaps which rewards creative 
gameplay 
• Develop custom in house tools 
• Assist in general ad hoc programming tasks 

Requirements

• Must have awesome physics programming skills in Blueprints and C++ 
• Genuine enthusiasm and real world knowledge of MTB / BMX / Skateboarding / Motorbikes / 
other action sports massively advantageous 
• Must be UK based or in a very similar time zone 
• Must have excellent written and spoken English 
• Must be willing to have regular casual discussions via skype / discord and a good sense of 
humour 
• Experience using Git source control 
• General Unreal Engine game development skills advantageous

The UI/UX Artist will design clear and engaging UI for mobile casual games, including menus, HUDs, pop-ups, and onboarding.
