Auros seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to support its high-performance infrastructure for digital asset trading. Responsibilities include maintaining and improving global infrastructure, enhancing security, collaborating on system design and DevOps processes, developing internal tools and automation, application tuning and troubleshooting, and participating in various trading and infrastructure projects.  The ideal candidate possesses strong DevOps and SRE experience, expertise in cloud management (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), configuration management, CI/CD, and application/infrastructure instrumentation.  Experience with performance tuning, Python/Bash scripting, and cybersecurity is crucial.

<p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p>
<p>Auros is looking for an experienced DevOps engineer who can ramp up quickly into supporting our high-performance infrastructure for trading digital assets. You’ll play a key part in building, deploying and supporting systems that execute millions of trades on CeFi and DeFi venues across the globe. You will also be responsible for implementing solutions that enhance security, resilience and performance with an operational excellence mindset within this dynamic environment.</p>
<p>You’ll be responsible for:</p>
<ul>
<li>Participate in on-call roster to support our trading operations.</li>
<li>Maintain and improve our global infrastructure with high performance and reliability requirements.</li>
<li>Improve and update the security infrastructure of a widely distributed company that operates in a high-risk environment.</li>
<li>Engage and collaborate with other teams around system layout, rollout procedures and improving DevOps processes.</li>
<li>Development of internal tools and automation to accomplish the team’s goals.</li>
<li>Application tuning and troubleshooting; you will keep abreast of changes to trading system features and deployment, providing guidance to developers looking to improve their application performance or reliability.</li>
<li>Active participation in various trading and infrastructure projects.</li>
<li>Work closely with developers, traders and other staff to accomplish our firm’s goals.</li>

<p><strong>Who you are</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>An SRE/DevOps professional with experience managing and optimising Linux systems in a high-performance 24 x 7 environment.</li>
<li>Cloud management using IaC, with experience in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.</li>
<li>A background in container management, deployment, and orchestration. Kubernetes experience is good to have, strong docker skills are required.</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience in managing configuration at scale.</li>
<li>Experience with CI/CD pipeline, version control best practices.</li>
<li>Experience with application and infrastructure instrumentation using tools like Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and eBPF.</li>
<li>This is not a network engineer role, however knowledge of networking management and routing in both a cloud and global SD-WAN environment is a plus. Understanding of transport protocols is expected.</li>
<li>While not a requirement, experience working in the cryptocurrency industry and familiarity with running blockchain RPC infrastructure is beneficial. A strong interest in cryptocurrency and finance in general is desired.</li>
<li>Ideally, you’ll have experience with low-level performance tuning across physical hardware, cloud instances, and network latency. We expect some experience in at least one aspect of performance optimization.</li>
<li>Coding:</li>
<ul>
<li>Python and bash experience is a must.</li>
<li>Javascript/Typescript or Go experience are nice to have.</li>
<li>This role will involve a significant amount of automation and API coding.</li>
</ul>
<li>Cybersecurity experience and expectations:</li>
<ul>
<li>Strong knowledge of cloud security and IAM policies is required.</li>
<li>SIEM and threat management experience.</li>
<li>Understanding of network security and application of zero-trust principles.</li>
<li>Must know how to secure Mac and Linux endpoints.</li>
<li>Software supply chain security knowledge and experience will be desired, along with an understanding of vulnerability and secret scanning within CI/CD pipelines.</li>
