As the Senior Manager of APAC Payroll at Netflix, you will be a key member of the Global Payroll team. Based in Singapore, you will manage teams in Singapore and Manila. This role requires cross-functional collaboration across multiple time zones, especially with the US, EMEA, and LATAM regions. Responsibilities include managing relationships with external payroll providers, ensuring accurate and timely payroll, leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, collaborating with business partners, driving global payroll strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading payroll implementations in new countries, partnering with internal teams, preparing reports, and mentoring the APAC Payroll team.

Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.The Role:As the Senior Manager of APAC Payroll, you will be a key member of a high-performing Global Payroll team. This role is based in Singapore, and you will be responsible for managing the teams based in Singapore and Manila. This is a highly cross-functional role working across many time zones, especially with the US but also with the EMEA and LATAM regions. The right candidate for this position will be an individual who has a natural intellectual curiosity, strong analytical skills, flexibility, and the desire to drive process improvements.&nbsp;&nbsp;Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Manage relationships with external payroll providers</li><li>To lead and manage the APAC payroll team to ensure payroll to ensure an accurate and timely payroll, including but not limited to: base pay, stock compensation, payroll taxes, pension, statutory and supplemental benefits, etc&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure an accurate and timely payroll, including but not limited to: base pay, stock compensation, payroll taxes, pension, statutory and supplemental benefits, etc</li><li>Own month-end close, quarter-end, and year-end processes for APAC entities including reviewing/approving journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals</li><li>Cross-functional collaboration with business partners for process improvements and efficiencies</li><li>Assist with driving&nbsp; global payroll strategy to align on refining current payroll operations with internal payroll teams (UCAN, EMEA, LATAM) to streamline processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and best-in-class services</li><li>Responsible for ensuring all payroll regulatory filings are completed in line with statutory due dates</li><li>Lead payroll development and implementation process for new countries or entities, as needed</li><li>Partner closely with our internal partners (HR / Employee Services / Finance) to provide our employees with a first-class onboarding and payroll experience</li><li>Proactively prepare relevant management reports and statistics as needed</li><li>Provide mentoring and coaching to APAC Payroll team to promote growth and development</li></ul>We are looking for someone who:<ul><li>Has strong knowledge of payroll across the APAC region, including Singapore, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Korea, India, Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand</li><li>Has expertise in managing the end-to-end global payroll process and has a high level of understanding of general business operations and internal control concepts</li><li>Has the ability to assess and provide input into the impact of a business process change&nbsp;</li><li>Is a great communicator that can build strong working relationships with external advisors and internal teams&nbsp;</li><li>Has strong leadership skills, is a team player, and is able to resolve conflicts</li><li>Can work on own initiative and as part of a team&nbsp;</li><li>Is a multitasker who can prioritize to meet multiple tight deadlines</li><li>Can be flexible and willing to work across multiple time zones, sometimes outside of the conventional workday</li><li>Proactively takes initiative and makes decisions confidently</li><li>Is curious about all parts of our business</li><li>Is highly analytical, accurate &amp; detail-oriented</li><li>Is innovative and collaborative and is not afraid to ask questions&nbsp;</li><li>Can think strategically and also act operationally</li><li>Can manage ambiguity, risk, and changing the direction of projects and strategies&nbsp;</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Tax / Accounting / HR (or similar field)&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge &amp; understanding of international equity and mobility programs</li><li>Knowledge of EMEA and LATAM payrolls a plus</li><li>Advanced with Excel and other Microsoft/Google products with the ability to navigate large data sets</li><li>Understanding of US GAAP/IFRS</li><li>Experience with Workday knowledge is also a plus</li><li>Strong communication skills, written/verbal, and the ability to interact with employees at all levels</li><li>Fluency in English, other APAC languages is a strong plus</li></ul><a href="https://about.netflix.com/en/inclusion" target="_blank">Inclusion</a> is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates.
