Double Eleven is seeking an experienced Quest Designer to join their award-winning team in Middlesbrough, UK, working on Fallout 76. This role involves collaborating with various teams to create high-quality, memorable player experiences in a live service environment. The designer will help express the game's story through exploration, gameplay, and activities, implement quest content, and brainstorm themes for updates. <h2 class="text-2xl md:text-3xl font-bold mt-10 mb-4 border-b pb-2 text-gray-800">Description</h2><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">We’re looking for an experienced Quest Designer to join our award winning team in Middlesbrough (UK), home to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline and countryside.</p><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">As a Quest Designer at Double Eleven, you’ll be working alongside the quest design team on Fallout 76, one of the largest and most well-known AAA IP’s. You’ll be working alongside other team disciplines to realise high quality quest deliverables, creating memorable player experiences in an ongoing live service environment.</p><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">This role would suit a candidate who has a passion for quest design and has previous experience working in a narrative, game or level design capacity. The ideal candidate will show excellent communication and active listening skills, as well as demonstrate player focused design thinking with the ability to interpret and deliver on an agreed vision.</p><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">As a global gaming company, we've enabled millions to conquer Minecraft Dungeons, battle in Rust Console Edition and, of course, create new adventures for Vault Dwellers in Fallout 76.</p><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">Recently, we collaborated with Rockstar Games to bring Red Dead Redemption to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 as well as partnered with Obsidian Entertainment on Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 and 5.</p><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">Double Eleven is a place where our people come first. Lead Quest Designer and other leadership to write and implement quest content for the game</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Brainstorm and collaborate with the Lead Quest Designer, project leads and quest team to concept and plan the themes for each update</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Collaborate with other teams regarding quest implementation scope, quality, efficiency and workflow</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Implement and oversee quests as part of content updates to the game</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Work with production and the Lead Quest Designer to inform the quest schedule, ensuring your work can be delivered on time</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Mentor junior team members through creating and iterating designs and implementing best practices</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Collaborate with other teams to create a cohesive game experience</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Promote, contribute and participate in our culture of inclusion and class="leading-relaxed">Experience in Quest, Level, or Open-World repeatable content design</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Strong writing, editing, and narrative development skills</li><li class="leading-relaxed">A solid understanding of narrative systems, story structures, and player-driven storytelling</li><li class="leading-relaxed">A passion for researching and adapting diverse IPs and franchises</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Hands-on experience with at least one established game development toolset or engine</li><li class="leading-relaxed">The ability to interpret and balance feedback from multiple, sometimes conflicting, perspectives to guide the team toward the best overall design decisions</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Familiarity with implementation best practices
