Gameplay Development Manager at Eleventh Hour Games, responsible for leading a team of gameplay engineers, designing game architecture, and ensuring smooth development & deployment. Must have 5+ years of game development experience, proficiency in writing clean code, strong knowledge of game engine systems, and experience with Unity.

<div class="BambooRichText jss-f1074">What is your role?&nbsp; 
As a Gameplay Development Manager for Eleventh Hour Games, you will be responsible for a team of gameplay engineers. You will lead from the front, providing technical guidance as well as hopping into the code to unblock things as needed. You will help design and implement both the game's architecture as well as the team's processes to ensure the smooth development and deployment of new functionality for Last Epoch. Along the way, you will support and help grow the team through code &amp; design reviews, 1:1s, performance reviews, and hiring. This role is ideal for someone who craves ownership and has strong communication skills, both written and verbal as you will be working with a global remote team.
 
Qualifications 
<ul>
<li>3+ years of industry experience in a People Leadership role</li>
<li>5+ years of game development experience in a programming role&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Exceptional people leadership skills. (including but not limited to team member feedback and evaluation process, 1:1 meetings etc.)&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Proficiency in writing clean, readable, and efficient code </li>
<li>Strong knowledge of game engine systems and performance as well as data structures and algorithms </li>
<li>Experience working on at minimum two shipped Unity titles</li>
</ul>
 
Pluses 
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of fundamental multiplayer concepts such as reliability, congestion, server authority, and interpolation</li>
<li>Varied experience across a game's many systems</li>
<li>Passion for ARPGs in particular a huge plus</li>
</ul>
 
Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Manage your team ensuring basic needs are met and work is unblocked, larger issues are identified and resolved in a timely fashion, and help teammates grow as engineers</li>
<li>Lead your team to define development timeframes, dependencies, and areas of risk to be considered in project planning </li>
<li>Champion best practices and standards across projects </li>
<li>Jump into the code as needed and resolve issues as needed</li>
