3D Environment Artist

As a 3D Environment Artist at Eleventh Hour Games, you'll craft high and low-poly 3D models for environments, collaborating with the Art and Level Design teams.  Responsibilities include building high and low-resolution models (hard surface and organic), UVs, textures, and materials. You'll maintain a clean workflow, following production guidelines and utilizing trim sheets, modularity, and procedural tools.  Strong skills in ZBrush, Substance Painter, Designer, Unity, 3D Max or Maya, and Photoshop are essential.  You'll work closely with other teams to ensure environments support gameplay and narrative, focusing on optimized performance and believability.  The role demands excellent communication, creativity, and a passion for ARPGs and fantasy worlds.

As a&nbsp;3D Environment Artist for Eleventh Hour Games&nbsp;you will be responsible for crafting high and low poly 3D models for Environment working closely with our Art Department and Level Design team. This role is ideal for someone who has a keen eye for level layout and details, with great sculpting and texturing skills, extensive expertise on Environment pipeline, Trim Sheets, Modularity and material creation. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for this position.
 
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>3+ years of 3D Environment Artist experience both in hard surface modeling and organic shapes, sculpting high fantasy epic manmade environments.</li>
<li>High proficiency level with: ZBrush, Substance Painter, Designer, Unity, 3D Max or Maya and Photoshop</li>
<li>Professional knowledge/experience with environment creation pipelines and workflows for game development, using trim sheets, modularities, tri planar material creation and etc.</li>
<li>Experience creating vegetation assets.</li>
<li>Strong environmental composition skills using art principles with game design</li>
<li>Implement, iterate, and review assets in-engine.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the art and design teams to ensure environments support gameplay mechanics and narrative.</li>
<li>Experience with many different methods for creating a game world including modular systems and usage of procedural tools.</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of how to manage content for games in an optimized and performant manner.</li>
<li>Ability to break down barriers with visual design and create bridges between concept and model</li>
<li>Creative and passionate about ARPGs and fantasy worlds</li>
<li>Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken</li>
</ul>

<li>Github and fork basic experience</li>
<li>Traditional art skills, sculpting or drawing</li>
<li>Proficiency with advanced in-game lighting skills</li>
<li>Experience with shipped titles</li>

Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Build high and low resolution models, including hard surface and organic, UVs, textures and materials for Environment based on detailed concepts</li>
<li>Maintain a clean workflow from high poly to textured and rendered assets, following production guidelines</li>
<li>Organize and track tasks in the pipeline, making sure to keep it populated and ready for your work to be moved forward with the pipeline</li>
<li>Conceptualize, present and execute ideas within time and technical constraints while actively participating in artistic, creative and technical, problem-solving</li>
<li>Be present and collaborative with the team to achieve unified goals, including but not limited to: attend key meetings, remove blockers, and voice your suggestions while integrating feedback</li>
<li>Work with the Art Lead and Art Director to establish Environment Theming &amp; Tone, References for sections of the world.</li>
<li>Work closely with Level Designers to iterate on and bring a level of believability and detail to the world while retaining the gameplay intentions.</li>
<li>Work with the Technical Art team to explore and test different methods for creating and laying out the world, including procedural layout tools and workflows.</li>
