Firesprite, a PlayStation Studios family member in Liverpool, seeks an experienced Senior Manager, HR for a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role involves delivering studio HR strategy, aligning with global initiatives, coaching leadership, managing employee relations, and enhancing HR processes. The ideal candidate will champion DE&I, support training, analyze HR metrics, and lead a small HR team, ideally working hybrid in the Liverpool studio.

Our commitment to the core values of Inclusivity, Bravery, Responsiveness, and Entrepreneurialism is a key driving force behind our work culture.Please note, this is a 9 month fixed-term contract.Role overview:We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, HR who will be responsible for delivering the studio HR strategy, ensuring alignment with wider Playstation Studios and SIE global HR initiatives!Ideally, we would love individuals to be based in the Liverpool studio for 1-3 days per week.What you’ll be doing:<ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Coaching and advising the studio Leadership Team and Discipline Heads on all HR related activities, in line with policy, process and best practice</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Managing of complex and high-risk employee relations matters, where appropriate</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Maintaining HR policies, process maps and associated templates/documentation, in line with legal and SIE requirements, as well as the studio needs.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Enhancing and streamlining HR Processes as required resulting in increased efficiency and improved HR service delivery</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Supporting the studio Leadership Team and Discipline Heads deliver cyclical HR activities including but not limited to performance appraisal, compensation reviews, talent management and succession planning</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Overseeing initiatives to enhance culture and employee engagement at the studio, including but not limited to the engagement committee, engagement surveys, recognition and reward</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Championing DE&I initiatives within the studio, alongside PlayStation Studios and SIE, to increase diversity, equity and inclusion for Sprites</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Supporting with the creation and delivery of training to managers and our Sprites on HR related activities and initiatives, for example performance management, managing teams and DE&I.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Compiling and analyzing HR metrics for the studio Leadership Team to provide meaningful insights and reporting on trends</li><li class="leading-relaxed">General HR administration to assist the HR team as required, including maintenance of the HR Management System and monitoring of the HR Inbox</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Completing any other ad hoc HR related activities, as required</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Leading a small team – managing, mentoring and overseeing the development of our senior HR advisor.</li></ul>What we are looking for:<ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">CIPD qualification</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Significant experience within a senior generalist HR role, including demonstrable evidence of:</li><li class="leading-relaxed">managing a HR function;</li><li class="leading-relaxed">partnering with senior leadership teams;</li><li class="leading-relaxed">cultural change/transformation;</li><li class="leading-relaxed">driving employee engagement; and</li><li class="leading-relaxed">collaborating with Centres of Excellence.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence, constructively challenge, where appropriate</li><li class="leading-relaxed">An in-depth knowledge of employment law, best practice and current developments in the HR profession</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Computer literate with experience of using HR Management Systems - Workday</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Strong organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritise and work to competing deadlines</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Proven experience of HR metrics analysis and associated reporting/trend identification</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Excellent attention to detail</li><li class="leading-relaxed">An ability to work collaboratively within the HR team, and across the wider business, acting with a high degree of confidentiality and trustworthiness</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Available to work Hybrid is a plus</li></ul><h4 class="text-lg md:text-xl font-semibold mt-6 mb-2 text-gray-800">Benefits:</h4><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Discretionary bonus opportunity</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Hybrid Working (within Flexmodes)</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Private Medical Insurance</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Dental Scheme</li><li class="leading-relaxed">25 days holiday per year</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Access to cycle garage and showers</li></ul>Firesprite is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, with a commitment to a culture of inclusion and mutual respect for all employees from every walk of life, reflecting the community we make games for.
