Goodbye Kansas is seeking a Senior Character and Creature Artist for their new Mumbai studio. This role involves contributing to character creation, creature development, and digi-double assets, collaborating with departments like rigging and animation. Responsibilities include working from scans and concept art to produce assets from modeling and sculpting to texturing and look development, troubleshooting, providing feedback, documenting best practices, and mentoring artists. Artists will use Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Mari, and Houdini, with output in Vray Solaris. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of VFX or animation experience with strong skills in organic and hard surface modeling, anatomy, sculpting, and shading. Experience in skin and fur shading, grooming workflows, and garment creation is also required.

This is an important role within our global character and creature pipeline, working closely with our teams in the UK and Sweden, helping to grow the studios' established workflows in the newly opened Mumbai location. Reporting to the Head of Build, this role will shape high-quality characters and creatures for cinematic, VFX and real-time projects.
