 The Designer provides support to the Creative and Marketing teams working onsite in a hybrid model for our luxury beauty client in New York City. They are responsible for assisting in the production, creation, and adaptation of graphics, production files, 2D &amp; 3D rendering, graphic strips, displays, print &amp; POS design, and various architectural needs regarding various retail environments such as shop-in-shop, free-standing stores, pop up events, trade shows and more. Prior retail experience required, beauty/cosmetics is ideal. A keen eye for beauty and fashion is essential. <ul><li>Candidate should be strong graphically and have abilities and understanding of architectural design</li><li>Has the ability to develop graphics, some architectural drawings, 3D renders, and presentation boards to convey construction, design intent, and merchandising requirements of retail environments and fixtures</li><li>Is able to contribute and work well within a collaborative team, but also be capable of taking initiative in completing assigned tasks with little supervision</li><li>Can easily manage multiple projects and priorities in a timely manner</li><li>Maintains a sense of urgency when needed and juggles priorities to meet deadlines</li><li>Capable of aiding in the creation, development, adaptation, and execution of new design efforts regarding new retail fixtures, store layouts, visual and store displays, graphic applications, and overall creative efforts for retail stores, shop-in-shop, chains, pop-ups, as well as trade shows</li><li>Aids in the development of 3D renderings and design intent drawings for internal meetings, vendors, and stores for local execution. Must be extremely fluent in SketchUp</li><li>Build print-ready files for direct submission to print vendors for prototypes</li><li>Maintains working calendars and timelines to ensure the timely rollout of all materials</li><li>Highly organized and detail-oriented</li><li>Printing / Production assisting with proofing and press checks</li><li>Keeps files organized on servers for easy retrieval</li><li>Maintains brand consistency throughout all touch points</li><li>Ability to take direction and be open to feedback</li><li>Possess strong communication and organization skills with the ability to articulate ideas in a clear and concise manner</li><li>Foster good interaction with cross-functional partners as well as internal teams</li><li>Strong technical skills with a full understanding of how to develop structures and displays</li><li>Excellent layout and design capabilities. Pays attention to the details</li><li>Able to professionally prepare files for production link files, and follow file naming and storage protocols</li><li>Stay up to date with industry developments and tools</li><li>Able to function well within a fast-paced, always-evolving environment</li><li>Willing to contribute creatively to the team and possess strong creative skills </li></ul>
Requirements <ul><li>5 + years of solid graphic, store, and fixture design experience, preferably in retail or beauty, with a degree in graphic design/architectural design, or a related field</li><li>2D and 3D experience required</li><li>Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field</li><li>Proficiency in SketchUp is required</li><li>Exceptional Adobe Creative Suite fluency (Illustrator / InDesign / Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Word / Excel)</li><li>AutoCAD skills </li></ul>
Benefits The anticipated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
