As a Data Engineer I at MiQ, you will be crucial to programmatic decision-making, working within an interoperable and unified data platform that manages data from ingestion to cataloguing. You will enable Data Scientists and Analysts to process vast amounts of data, leading to optimized models and insights. No matter the role or the location, we’re all united in the vision to lead the programmatic industry and make it better.As a Data Engineer I in our technology department, you’ll have the chance to:<ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Expert in at least one of the Big Data Technologies</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Expert in SQL, worked on advanced SQL</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Software solution development using Technologies such as MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Yarn/Mesos etc</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Good Development and coding skills in Python, Java and RDBMS(Sql Queries)</li></ul>Who are your stakeholders?<ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">The platform enables Data Scientists and Analysts to ingest, process, and analyze vast amounts of data effectively, leading to optimised models and insights</li><li class="leading-relaxed">With API first and data as a product approach, the product also has all the other capabilities as its customer base</li><li class="leading-relaxed">The platform is also leveraged quite extensively for all be-spoke market needs and hence local products also are stakeholders for Data Management platform</li></ul>What you’ll bring<ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering</li><li class="leading-relaxed">1 - 2 years overall experience in Data Warehouse development and database design</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Software solution development using Hadoop Technologies such as MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Yarn/Mesos etc</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Expert in SQL, worked on advanced SQL for at least 2+ years or as a Data warehouse administrator</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Good development skills in Java, Python or other languages</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience with EMR, S3</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Knowledge and exposure to BI applications, e.g. Tableau, Qlikview</li></ul>We’ve highlighted some key skills, experience and requirements for this role.
