The Lead Artist at Mooncolony is an integral part of the art team, reporting to the Art Director. This role involves leading and delivering diverse projects, including cinematic illustration, concept design, and visual development, while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. The position demands strong ownership, autonomy, and leadership, serving as a crucial link between the Art Director, production teams, and artists. Responsibilities include mentoring, providing feedback, and actively building project teams, requiring excellent communication and a collaborative spirit.

Integrated at the heart of the art team and directly working under the management of the Art Director, the Lead Artist is responsible for leading and delivering a variety of projects depending on skillset, ranging from cinematic illustration projects, concept or cosmetic design projects, vis dev projects and more, on schedule and meeting client and internal quality standards.This role requires a high degree of ownership, autonomy, and leadership, acting as a key bridge between the Art Director, production teams, and artists.The Lead Artist will be comfortable mentoring others and providing feedback on their work and they will be actively involved in building dedicated project teams alongside the Art Director.
