Marketing Operations Associate

We’re looking for a versatile and experienced Director of Creative Services to lead the development and execution of creative across brand, marketing, and product initiatives. This role serves as both the hands-on lead designer and the manager of our growing creative team, overseeing the full creative function. You’ll drive visual strategy, manage a growing design team, and deliver high-impact work across digital products, campaigns, partnerships, and live events. This is a hybrid role that blends creative leadership, team management, and design execution—perfect for a creative leader who wants to shape a fast-growing brand from the inside out. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and works closely with product, partnerships, and content leads.

This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and works closely with product, partnerships, and content leads.<h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">What You'll Do:</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Lead design strategy and execution across brand, marketing, and product experiences.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Serve as the lead designer while managing and mentoring a small, multidisciplinary team.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Create marketing assets for tournaments, social media, sponsorships, broadcasts, and digital campaigns.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (marketing, product, partnerships) to shape and evolve the creative vision and priorities.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Deliver cohesive branded experiences in partnership with internal teams and external sports organizations.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Design and maintain visual identity systems, including logos, event branding, and style guides.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Lead branded activations in collaboration with league and partner organizations.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Support product teams with UI/UX design for internal tools and user-facing applications.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Ensure brand consistency and creative excellence across all touchpoints.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Scale and maintain shared design systems across marketing and product.</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">10+ years of experience across brand, marketing, and product design.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Proven experience leading design teams and providing mentorship and direction.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">A strong, multi-disciplinary portfolio showcasing work in brand identity, marketing design, and digital product UI/UX.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience in campaign creative, tournament/event branding, social content, and digital advertising.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Ability to collaborate across marketing, product, partnerships, and external organizations.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects a plus).</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Familiarity with tools like Notion, Slack, and Asana (or comparable tools) for project collaboration and management</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience working with design systems and product teams in agile environments.</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Added Bonus If You Have:</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience in sports, esports, entertainment, or media.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Motion design or broadcast graphics experience.</li></ul>$165,000 - $200,000 a yearPlayVS is proud to be a remote-first company, where employees can work almost anywhere within the United States. We have a simple and transparent remote-first level-based compensation structure. The salary range for this full-time remote position is $165,000 - $200,000, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. They will be responsible for translating UI direction into effective widgets using their technical expertise in composition and animation. The UI Technical Artist will have a strong understanding of both technical and artistic aspects of UI design.
