This role serves a critical function to the finance team as a subject matter expert and provides specialized knowledge of the reporting and compliance obligations affecting publicly traded companies.<h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Core Duties and Responsibilities</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Lead and assist in gathering, analyzing and producing internal and external financial reports in accordance with US GAAP and SEC guidelines.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Lead and support the preparation of quarterly and annual reports filed with the SEC; including Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Take an active role in and lead some of the monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Responsible for global consolidation of multiple legal entities, including coordination with domestic and international subsidiaries.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Responsible for preparation and review of financial statement footnotes, including the administration of footnote preparation.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Assist in the preparation of manual journal entries and account reconciliations for certain corporate accounts.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Assist in the preparation of certain financial reporting controls in accordance with SOX.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Partner with external auditors and be available in support of audit requests as a subject matter expert related to financial reporting.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Maintain current knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting obligations; make recommendations for process changes as dictated by these obligations.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Research new or complex accounting issues and provide guidance on applicability, disclosure and implementation by working with the Financial Reporting Manager.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Education and Experience</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">BS in finance/accounting from accredited university; CPA license preferred.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">2 to 5+ years of related work history.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Public accounting work experience required; Big 4 Accounting Firm experience highly preferred.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience working in a publicly traded organization or as an audit partner to a publicly traded organization preferred.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Strong grasp of US GAAP and SEC reporting obligations for public companies.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Demonstrated track record of implementing enhanced accounting standards and financial reporting systems.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Auditboard, Blackline and Toppan Merrill Bridge</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Uncompromising dedication to quality.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Excellent follow-through.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Must be driven and self-motivated.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Teamwork oriented and focused.</li></ul><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Exempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
