Red Star is an animation studio creating fantastic animated feature films, kids' TV and 3D/4D attractions in theme parks. Founded in Sheffield in 2004 by Ben Smith and Jan Rogowski, we offer script-to-screen production of exciting and engaging stories for family audiences. In 2020 we released our first animated feature film STARDOG & TURBOCAT starring Luke Evans, Nick Frost, Gemma Arterton and Bill Nighy in over a dozen territories worldwide and have recently completed work on a second feature THE AMAZING MAURICE.

We are seeking a talented JUNIOR STORYBOARD ARTIST to work on-site in London, UK for the Terry Pratchett feature film THE AMAZING MAURICE 2. The role involves storyboarding shots and sequences under the film’s co-director's supervision, and collaborating with a team to critique and refine sequences created by other artists. The position is available only to artists based in the UK with the existing right to work. Visa sponsorship is unavailable for applicants currently overseas.

The Job: <ul> <li>Storyboarding shots and sequences under the supervision of the film’s co-director</li> <li>Work as a team member to critique and iterate sequences from other artists</li> </ul> Must have: <ul> <li>Strong drawing skills and the ability to swiftly create and revise storyboard images</li> <li>Demonstrable ability to storyboard compelling animated sequences</li> <li>Experience of Storyboard Pro</li> </ul> Nice to have: <ul> <li>Editing skills in e.g. Adobe Premiere</li> <li>Experience of Autodesk Shotgrid</li> <li>Audio design skills</li> </ul> Contract term: 21st July 2025 - 30th Jan 2026 [subject to change] Salary: Negotiable This opening is available only to artists based in the UK with an existing right to work.
