As a Machine Learning Engineer at Scale, you'll be crucial in enhancing Scale's products and customer experience by implementing computer vision, deep learning, deep reinforcement learning, or natural language processing in a production environment. You will be involved in deploying and refining existing models, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with product and research teams to enhance the current product line. This includes working with large datasets, developing and fine-tuning models for specific products, and building a scalable ML platform to automate ML services. The role involves multitasking, quickly learning new technologies, and potentially requires a security clearance.

<div>The goal of a Machine Learning Engineer at Scale is to bring techniques in the fields of computer vision, deep learning and deep reinforcement learning, or natural language processing into a production environment to improve <a href="https://scale.com/">Scale's</a> products and customer experience. Our research engineers take advantage of our unique access to massive datasets to deliver improvements to our customers. We are building a large hybrid human-machine system in service of ML pipelines for Federal Government customers. We currently complete millions of tasks a month, and will grow to complete billions of tasks monthly.&nbsp; <h3>You will:</h3> <ul> <li> Take state of the art models developed internally and from the community, use them in production to solve problems for our customers and taskers. </li> <li> Take models currently in production, identify areas for improvement, improve them using retraining and hyperparameter searches, then deploy without regressing on core model characteristics </li> <li> Work with product and research teams to identify opportunities for improvement in our current product line and for enabling upcoming product lines </li> <li> Work with massive datasets to develop both generic models as well as fine tune models for specific products </li> <li> Build the scalable ML platform to automate our ML service </li> <li>Be a representative for how to apply machine learning and related techniques throughout the engineering and product organization</li> <li> Be able, and willing, to multi-task and learn new technologies quickly </li> <li>This role will require an active security clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance.</li> </ul> <h3>Ideally You’d Have:</h3> <ul> <li> Extensive experience using computer vision, deep learning and deep reinforcement Learning, or natural language processing in a production environment </li> <li> Solid background in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming </li> <li> Strong programing skills in Python or Javascript, experience in Tensorflow or PyTorch </li> </ul> <h3>Nice to Haves:</h3> <ul> <li> Graduate degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence specialization </li> <li> Experience working with cloud technology stack (eg. AWS or GCP) and developing machine learning models in a cloud environment </li> <li> Experience with generative AI models </li> </ul></div>

Grit, ingenuity, a desire to have fun, and a start up mentality define our crew. We are currently working on Splitgate 2.&nbsp; What We're Looking For:&nbsp; <ul> <li>An experienced growth marketing manager to plan and execute our paid marketing campaigns for the upcoming free-to-play first person shooter Splitgate 2.&nbsp;</li> </ul> What You Will Be Doing:&nbsp; <ul> <li>Partnering with senior marketing and company leadership to develop high-level media planning allocations in a comprehensive user acquisition (UA) strategy.&nbsp;</li> <li>Planning, launching, and optimizing paid marketing campaigns to drive awareness, installs, and reengagement.&nbsp;</li> <li>Leveraging our CRM database and customer segmentation tooling to retain and retarget our player base through customized campaigns once Splitgate 2 is launched.&nbsp;</li> <li>Monitoring and analyzing our key performance metrics for campaigns on a daily basis to optimize the efficiency and efficacy of our advertising spend.&nbsp;</li> <li>Identifying ad creative needs (videos, static image assets, cutbacks, versions) and partnering with internal creative teams to source them in a timely manner, including a forward-looking calendar of anticipated creative assets.</li> <li>Maintaining relationships with advertising publishers on the sell side to ensure we have the best features, audience insights, and commercial benefits to help Splitgate 2 grow.</li> <li>Partnering with a media agency / external consultants on oversight of some portion of our overall paid media budget that you may not manage yourself.</li> <li>Adhering to a monthly ad budget and adopting goals for user acquisition (volume of installs), reengagement (volume of returning players attributable to advertising), and efficiency (competitive costs per install and costs per action).</li> </ul> What You Will Need to Succeed:&nbsp; <ul> <li>Minimum of 5+ years of growth marketing experience at a video game publisher, ad agency, or major sell-side advertising publisher.</li> <li>Recent, hands-on experience with Google, Meta, and/or TikTok biddable ad buying interfaces.</li> <li>A passion for gaming, both as a marketer and a player.</li> <li>Strong skillsets in data analysis and real-time optimization.</li> <li>Copywriting proficiency (for ad descriptions, calls to action, etc.)</li> <li>Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional organization with fully remote teams across time zones.</li> </ul> Pluses: <ul> <li>Experience with PC/console game growth marketing (i.e., Steam, PlayStation, Xbox) and attribution technology (e.g., Gamesight)</li> <li>Experience executing paid campaigns in ex-US markets, including familiarity with content localization processes and an understanding of basic market-specific cultural preferences across geographies like Germany, Japan, and Brazil.</li> <li>Familiarity with Splitgate or other PC/console shooters (Halo, Fortnite, Apex, etc.)</li> </ul></div>
