The Junior Accounting & Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing, calculating, and recommending financial direction for the company, with a focus on cash flow and royalty statements. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to build and update cash flow forecasts, manage royalty reporting, and ensure accurate and timely payments to rights holders. Strong project management, analytical skills, and attention to detail are essential for interpreting complex contracts and financial data.

<h2 class="text-2xl md:text-3xl font-bold mt-10 mb-4 border-b pb-2 text-gray-800">Junior Accounting & Financial Analyst</h2><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed"><strong>In-office</strong></p><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">The Junior Accounting & Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing, calculating, and recommending financial direction for the company. Two large areas of focus are company cash flow and royalty statements. The ideal candidate will be able to work cross-functionally throughout the business to build and update a cash flow forecast. This candidate will also be responsible for all royalty statement reporting. The ideal candidate will work to ensure that rights holders receive accurate and timely payments in accordance with licensing agreements. This position requires strong project management and analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex contracts. Experience with financial data and reporting is essential.</p><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">US-based applicants:</p><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">$45K - $65K annual salary, based on experience and skillset</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Part Time to Full Time depending on capability</li><li class="leading-relaxed">In Person preferred, Remote options available</li><li class="leading-relaxed">All Standard Federal holidays + company shut down period at Christmas & Thanksgiving</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Health and Dental Plan (Full-Time)</li><li class="leading-relaxed">401(k) Retirement Plan with Matching (Full-Time)</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Open PTO policy (Full-Time)</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Role Responsibilities</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Manage cash flow forecasting and recommendations for business.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Create and manage budgets for physical goods and merchandise</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Prepare licensor statements on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreements.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Calculate royalties based on sales, expenses, revenue sharing and licensor agreements terms and conditions.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Identify and resolve discrepancies in royalty calculations and payments.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Tracking and payment of advances, recoupments, reserves, liquidation and revenue sharing allocations and payment schedules.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Sending statements to the Developer, Partners, and Licensors and responding to inquiries.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Analyst current and past trends for discount percentages and frequencies to ensure maximizing revenue</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Explore expansion of sales channels to 3rd parties (Humble Bundle, GOG, Fanatical, etc)</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Make pricing recommendations for various products.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Provide direction to partner accounting firm regarding payments, invoicing, account coding.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Record incoming and outgoing invoices and payables in Quickbooks</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Required Skills and Experience</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Exceptional financial analysis and reporting skills, with a high degree of accuracy.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Strong project management skills.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Willingness to embrace ambiguity and proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Passion for the video game industry including knowledge of titles, video game lifecycles, etc</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Preferred Skills and Experience</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Existing experience within the video game industry</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Eagerness to develop and take on greater managerial and leadership roles over time</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Strong Proficiency in Quickbooks</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience with Shopify</li></ul>
