Platform Engineer

SLAY, founded in December 2022, is a rapidly growing mobile company that has achieved #1 app rankings across three continents. This role involves scaling the backend and LLM systems for AI Characters, enabling them to remember conversations, understand context, and react to real-world events. The engineer will work with Node.js (TypeScript), PostgreSQL, and Redis, shipping to millions of users and having full-stack ownership. <h2>Tasks</h2>
We’re looking for engineers to help scale the systems behind SLAY’s AI Characters. You’ll work on a mix of backend and LLM engineering to bring our characters to life: remembering past conversations, understanding context, and reacting to time, trends, and what’s happening in the world. As one of our first engineers, you’ll ship to millions of users from day one and have ownership across the stack. We use Node.js (TypeScript), PostgreSQL, and Redis.
