C++ Game Engineer / Senior C++ Game Engineer

Storm Flag is seeking an experienced C++ Game Engineer or Senior C++ Game Engineer to join their team. The role involves contributing to a live hit MMO game with millions of players, focusing on the development and architecture of diverse systems such as gameplay, UI, networking, graphics, and social features. A strong understanding of C++14 features, memory management, class design, and build systems is required. The position also involves contributing to a new online multiplayer game. This is a full-time role with potential for part-time for some candidates.

Even if you aren’t in Boston, if you are in the U.S. and a good fit for this role, we encourage you to apply.&nbsp;The PositionStorm Flag is looking for an experienced C++ game engineer to join our close-knit group of industry veterans in serving our professional services clients and in making the next hit online multiplayer game!As a game engineer, you will be a key contributor for a live hit MMO game with millions of players! You will own the development and architecture of diverse systems and components related to gameplay, ui, network, graphics and social features, and others as assigned by the project's lead engineer. This position will focus on multiplayer game development in C++. Previous professional experience with C++ is required, as is a good grasp of new features through the C++14 language revision, and fundamentals like memory management, class and template design, and C++ build systems.This is a full-time position but part time may be possible for some candidates. Position level dependent on experience. <li>A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or professional industry experience, &nbsp;with a strong grasp of computer science principles.</li>
<li>2+ (5+ for Senior) years of professional software development experience or equivalent.</li>
<li>Have worked on at least one game developed in C++</li>
<li>Good collaborator. Strong communication and listening skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality.</li>
<li>Self-directed. Capable of working independently for the good of the project.</li>

<li>Experience in multiplayer games, custom game engines, network or graphics code</li>
<li>Experience with large codebases developed in C, C++ or C#</li>
<li>Experience with Unity or Unreal game engine tools</li>

<li>Familiarity with the EASTL template library.</li>
<li>Graphics programming, GLSL, and GPU debugging.</li>
