Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining production computer vision systems to enhance AR capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions, optimizing system complexity and time, writing high-performance code, and working with the research team to innovate in AR. The role involves working on solutions that will be used by millions.  The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree (or equivalent) in a related field and experience in production code (C++), computer vision, and machine learning.  In-office work is required two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

<div class="job__description body"><div>Niantic’s Augmented Reality (AR) Mapping team seeks a Computer Vision Software Engineer to help build the 3D world maps that are the foundation for Niantic’s real world Metaverse and push the frontiers of Computer Vision and Machine Learning.
We are building the VPS and visual maps that help develop AR experiences to “inspire people to explore the world together”.

<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Design, develop and maintain production computer vision systems that are used to improve Niantic’s AR capabilities for the delight of our users.</li>
<li>Collaborate multi-functionally with products, operations and other engineering teams to ship state-of-the art computer vision solutions to enable new AR experiences.</li>
<li>Optimize complexity and time of solutions to make the best use of current technologies in cloud and/or mobile.</li>
<li>Write high performance code, debug solutions to complex problems that span systems, prioritize tasks effectively, and efficiently to meet agreed timelines.</li>
<li>Work with Niantic’s research team to invent, evaluate and help productionise solutions to push the boundaries of what can be done today in AR.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.</li>
<li>Required in-office 2 days on Tuesday and Thursday.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Master-level qualification in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.</li>
<li>Experience writing production code in C++.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of computer vision, machine learning or similar concepts.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including asynchronous interactions with others.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Plus If…</h3>
<ul>
<li>PhD-level qualification in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability developing algorithms for image processing, computer vision or similar endeavors.</li>
<li>Experience implementing, hardening or optimizing 3d gaussian splatting, dense depth computation, multi-view reconstruction or other problems in 3D computer vision.</li>
</ul>
The total compensation package for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of £87,300.00-£126,000.00 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Individual pay within this salary range is determined by work location and additional factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.  Job Purpose: The Vendor Program Manager will develop and implement comprehensive vendor marketing plans. The role is responsible for managing an assigned product category and understanding basic marketing trends, product positioning and market opportunities. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Assist assigned vendors with the creation of product marketing strategies through the Company.</li><li>Work closely with Client Executives to develop Account Based Marketing plans for the Company’s strategic Partner ecosystem.</li><li>Manage vendor/the Company marketing relationship, including maintaining product marketing plans, managing vendor coop/MDF and representing the Company in marketing related business meetings.</li><li>Coach and direct the daily activities of the Marketing Executives or Marketing Administration through delegation of projects.</li><li>Act as a consultant for product management and assigned vendors by providing marketing direction pertaining to assigned manufacturers' marketing plans.</li><li>Develop and maintain three-month rolling marketing plans that incorporate vendor objectives, strategies and tactics.</li><li>Develop and implement marketing plans that incorporate all aspects of marketing, including print advertising, direct mail, electronic marketing, training programs, telemarketing and sales awareness.</li><li>Maintain the Company's marketing profitability goals.</li><li>Provide programmatic marketing support by understanding vendor objectives and recommending an appropriate mix of the Company's marketing programs.</li><li>Execute vendor participation in these programs.</li><li>Develop a comprehensive understanding of the creative and job flow processes of the Company's marketing department.</li><li>Prepare monthly Promo/Spiff results and quarterly ROI reporting for designated manufacturers.</li><li>Work with product manager to understand monthly sales data and trend information.</li><li>Act as the focal point for project material coordination by interfacing with participating manufacturers, gathering necessary vendor materials and developing materials tracking tools for effective program management.</li><li>Monitor and drive revenue goals, expenses and profit margins for assigned vendors and programs. </li></ul>
Knowledge, Skills and Experience: <ul><li>10+ years of experience in Product Management, Channel Marketing, B2C marketing</li><li>Bachelor's degree in marketing or bachelor’s degree in business</li><li>Experience managing marketing budgets ideally within a channel marketing setting.</li><li>Previous experience working as a channel marketing manager would be a strong advantage.</li><li>A strong understanding of the distribution channels for the industry.</li><li>Project management experience would be a definite advantage.</li><li>The ability to manage small teams of people and influence senior staff is essential.</li><li>Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.</li><li>Experience in digital communications and new media channels</li><li>Solid project management skills and experience managing multi-faceted projects and initiatives.</li><li>Highly organized, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and respond quickly in an ever-changing environment.</li><li>Proven track record of focusing on solutions, key metrics and results, propelled by positive can-do attitude, energy and entrepreneurial spirit to achieve financial success.</li><li>Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong collaboration, co-creation and influencing skills demonstrated across different levels and functions.</li><li>Networking with external key stakeholders, thought leaders and influencers in multi-channel engagement and digital innovation to inform a compelling and differentiated approach to multi-channel.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in leading a team and developing team member. </li></ul>
