<h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">About the role</h3><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">The Strategic Operations Associate is a core member of Thatch’s commercial engine, responsible for enabling disciplined, data-driven execution of complex employer deals. Operating at the intersection of pricing, deal structure, and cross-functional coordination, this role ensures that every deal entering review is complete, accurate, and decision-ready.</p><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">Partnering closely with Sales, Solutions, Finance, and Revenue Operations, the Strategic Operations Associate owns data preparation, pricing analysis, and deal architecture within established frameworks. The role translates complex, multi-variable inputs into clear internal recommendations, supports efficient deal reviews, and helps maintain consistency across pricing, approvals, and governance processes.</p><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">Beyond individual deal support, this role contributes to the ongoing refinement of pricing guardrails, approval frameworks, and operating standards, creating leverage and scalability as Thatch continues to grow</p><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">What you'll do</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Partner with Sales and Solutions teams as an internal advisor on pricing, quoting, and deal strategy for complex employer opportunities.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Prepare and validate employer, census, and contribution data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and readiness for financial analysis.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Develop pricing scenarios and conduct financial modeling to support competitive, compliant, and scalable deal structures.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Translate complex analyses into clear, decision-ready recommendations and concise internal deal briefs.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Support deal reviews and approvals by surfacing assumptions, risks, and required escalations within established pricing and policy frameworks.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Ensure accuracy and consistency across pricing outputs, quotes, and approvals.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Assess deal structures, identify non standard terms, and align deal execution with internal controls and approval processes.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Contribute to the refinement of pricing guardrails, approval frameworks, and repeatable deal execution standards.</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Background we're looking for</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">2 to 4 years of experience in strategy, operations, finance, consulting, revenue operations, or a related analytical role supporting commercial decision-making.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex, multi-variable datasets and ambiguous inputs.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, with experience preparing analysis that informs high-stakes decisions.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience translating complex quantitative and qualitative inputs into clear, concise recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Comfort partnering with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Familiarity with pricing, financial modeling, deal analysis, or revenue-related workflows is a strong plus.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience working in high-growth, startup, or consulting environments preferred, where speed, rigor, and adaptability are required.</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Experience we’d be particularly excited about</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience working on complex deals where pricing, data, and structure come together.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Comfort turning messy or ambiguous data into clear, decision-ready insights.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Exposure to cross-functional work with Sales, Finance, or Operations teams.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Interest in structured problem-solving and building scalable processes in a growing company.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Background in consulting, strategy, finance, or high-growth startups is a plus.</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">What to expect</h3><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">We interview rigorously based on integrity, talent, and drive; the trust we display in our teammates from day 1 is a reflection of the confidence we have in this process. This role provides hands-on engineering leadership while also managing and mentoring a small team of networking and multiplayer engineers.
