Position Summary: Business Development Director


  • 100% Remote position & other cool benefits
  • Working with an international team on AA or AAA games in an Unreal Studio

Responsibilities

  • Drive new partnerships and/or the expansion of revenue from existing partnerships via the identification of upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, product, engineering, and legal teams to assist with cross-selling opportunities for both new and existing partners.
  • Lead development of sales pitches and presentations to key external decision-makers and prospects while sharing best practices for successful pitching and deal negotiation strategies
  • Monitor partner engagements
  • Monitor competitor activity in accounts and implement strategies to maintain account ownership and block competitor advancement
  • Provide for financial analyses, long-range forecasting and analysis studies associated with potential alliances/partnerships
  • Build and maintain opportunity pipelines and report on sales progress/velocity in CRM tools


Partnership Strategy

  • Leverages internal and external networks to develop new strategic relationships with senior business and technical decision makers; develops relationships as a trusted advisor for a particular line of business; provides industry insights internally.
  • Collaborates with customers, partners, and colleagues to develop post-deal governance and ensure design, communication, and alignment in creation and implementation of execution plans across a portfolio of deals; ensures customers and partners are prepared for implementation. 
  • Develops KPIs to demonstrate achieved business value. Troubleshoots complex issues and course corrects as appropriate. Articulates alternatives to blockers across a body of deals to develop consistent deal negotiation policy and drive application of scalable resolutions.
  • Maintain a presence with partners throughout production to monitor, identify, and surface challenges while presenting potential solutions to management.


Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of direct sales or business development experience in QA/Game Development consultative and/or solution sales based environments; knowledge of console/PC/mobile gaming, digital content monetization or e-commerce required.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire new customer relationships with a successful track record of achieving/ exceeding individual sales targets
  • Experience in successfully closing business deals and selling co-development services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective listening skills; able to consolidate and succinctly translate and relay market/client feedback and present and discuss complex concepts to executive audiences
  • Experience in solution selling; strong influencing and negotiation skills; consultative and collaborative style and an ability to develop and maintain effective relationships internally and externally
  • Strong analytical skills; independent decision-making capabilities coupled with the ability to analyze situations and provide practical recommendations
  • Highly motivated sales hunter, entrepreneurial and eager to contribute to a high-growth business
  • Candidates either must reside in the EU and EAA or should be accessible during the core hours of the CET time zone


Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Have great “game taste” and the ability to articulate why certain games are successful and why some are not. 
  • Passion for and knowledge of all forms of interactive entertainment, including video game content on console, PC or mobile, and demonstrated industry knowledge with a global business perspective.
  • The ability to develop and provide data driven support to substantiate business decision making
  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience drafting and developing project proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations
  • Experience developing market analysis
