Refresher Training Course in Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats (STCW) (FRB) (FRB-R)

This course aims to enable seafarers to demonstrate continued proficiency in the operation of Fast Rescue Boats/Craft in accordance with STCW Section A-VI/2, paragraph 11. The content includes safety principles, FRB operations, maneuvering, capsize and recovery, and search patterns with rescue exercises. Practical training involves pre-launch checks, operating davits, launching and recovering FRBs, steering, search patterns, recovering people, towing, pacing other vessels, helicopter operations, and emergency radio communications. The course duration is 6.5 hours per candidate, consisting of lectures and simulation exercises.

<h3>OBJECTIVE</h3>
The aim of the course is to enable seafarers to demonstrate continued proficiency in the operation of Fast Rescue Boats/Craft in accordance with STCW&nbsp; Section A-VI/2, paragraph 11.&nbsp; This course meets the requirements of Transport Canada’s REF-FRC.
