AI Engineer

T-Systems ICT India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an AI Engineer to join their team in Pune, India. The role involves implementing and optimizing advanced Agentic RAG and standard RAG pipelines, designing and deploying autonomous multi-agent systems using frameworks like crew.ai, and refining Agent-to-Agent communication protocols. Key responsibilities also include developing MCP Connectors for critical data sources (Microsoft Spreadsheets, Databricks Lakehouse, Postgres) and creating robust REST APIs for AI applications. The engineer will also be responsible for cloud deployment on Open Telekom Cloud and utilizing AI coding assistants for efficient development.

Must Have

• Implement and optimize Agentic RAG and standard RAG pipelines.
• Design and deploy autonomous multi-agent systems (e.g., crew.ai).
• Refine Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication protocols.
• Develop MCP Connectors for data sources (spreadsheets, Databricks, Postgres).
• Create robust and scalable REST APIs for AI applications.
• Manage AI application deployment on Open Telekom Cloud (OTC).
• Utilize AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, AI Engineer).
• Proven backend development experience (Python, Node.js) in cloud.
• Deep hands-on experience with RAG and Agentic RAG systems.
• Expertise in developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong data connectivity skills (Postgres, Databricks).

• Direct experience with Open Telekom Cloud (OTC).
• Deep understanding of theoretical concepts behind MCP and A2A communication.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Advanced RAG Implementation: Implement and optimize sophisticated Agentic RAG and standard RAG pipelines with a strong focus on advanced Prompt Context Engineering to ensure agents receive precise, relevant, and high-quality information.

2. Design & Build Agentic Systems: Design, develop, and deploy autonomous multi-agent systems using frameworks like crew.ai to solve complex business problems.

3. Agent to Agent (A2A) Communication: Implement and refine A2A protocols to allow for complex collaborative task execution between multiple AI agents.

4. Develop MCP Connectors: Build, test, and maintain MCP Connectors to enable our AI agents to interact seamlessly with critical data sources including:

• Microsoft Spreadsheets
• Databricks Lakehouse
• Postgres databases

5. Backend & API Development: Create robust and scalable REST APIs to serve as the backbone for our AI bots and applications, ensuring reliable communication and integration.

6. Cloud Deployment: Enable deployment, management, and monitoring of AI applications within our cloud environment, specifically Open Telekom Cloud (OTC).

7. AI Powered Development: Utilize modern AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, AI Engineer as a core part of your daily workflow to write, debug, and optimize code efficiently.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

1. Backend Expertise: Proven experience as a backend developer (e.g., Python, Node.js) with a strong portfolio of building and deploying applications in a cloud environment.

2. Expertise in RAG: Deep hands-on experience designing and building both traditional RAG and advanced Agentic RAG systems from the ground up.

3. Agentic Frameworks: Demonstrable hands-on experience building multi-agent systems using crew.ai or similar frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, llamaindex).

4. API Integration: Expertise in developing and consuming REST APIs and integrating various third-party services.

5. Data Connectivity: Strong understanding of data integration patterns and experience connecting to and managing data in relational databases (Postgres) and data lakes (Databricks).

6. Modern Dev Tools: High proficiency and daily use of AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot or AI Engineer.

7. A problem-solving mindset with a passion for staying on the absolute cutting edge of Generative AI.

Preferred Qualifications & Bonus Points:

1. Direct experience with Open Telekom Cloud (OTC).

2. A deep understanding of the theoretical concepts behind MCP and A2A communication.
