Position Intro
Ranked as the #1 Major Publisher in Metacritic’s 9th Annual Game Publisher Rankings, Capcom continues to deliver world-class, award-winning titles. Capcom USA is searching for an English & Japanese bilingual Associate, Business Strategy for our San Francisco office.  
This is a hybrid position combining both analytics and project management responsibilities.  
Reporting to the Manager of Business Strategy, this position will work closely with Capcom USA’s sales teams, marketing teams, and other key stakeholders while also communicating closely with counterparts in Capcom Japan, to provide data-driven insights into sales trends and functioning as an important liaison to bridge global and local business strategies. This role requires strong communication skills, analytical skills and leadership abilities to collaborate with members across the global organization to promote internal transparency and efficiency. 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Business Analysis and Reporting:
    • Support and collaborate with the Business Strategy Manager to provide sales and marketing analysis to executive management in Capcom USA and Capcom Japan.
    • Assist in preparing the monthly Sales Strategy Meeting presentation materials (in Japanese and English) for executive management in Japan.
    • Communicate closely with internal stakeholders at Capcom USA to gather information on sales, marketing, and PR initiatives, KPIs, and results to provide business analysis and reports to management.
    • Provide analysis and insights on market and sales trends, including but not limited to country trends, effect of new discount prices, launch sales trends, and DLC sales trends.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee, coordinate, and serve as a liaison for cross-regional and cross-functional business projects, to ensure timely completion, accuracy, and adherence to business objectives, including but not limited to the following:
      • SKU and pricing planning
      • Review sales targets with sales teams for upcoming releases and provide feedback and adjustments to Capcom Japan counterparts.
      • Handle contracts and payment processing, including intercompany contracts and market data tool licenses.

Required Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in sales and/or business development analysis, preferably in the video game or digital entertainment industry.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficient in fluent-level Japanese and English (both written and spoken) is a must. (Native level or Japanese Proficiency Level 1 / Certification Required.)
  • Strong proficiency in creating presentations (PowerPoint) and spreadsheets/pivot tables (Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and business recommendations. 
  • Demonstrated ability to execute tasks efficiently with minimal supervision and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders. 
  • Proactive mindset and strong work ethic to drive results. 
  • Bonus points: 
    • Experience with Tableau (creating dashboards and spreadsheets for analysis and reporting) 
    • Experience in a cross-cultural organization. 
    • Experience preparing and presenting business insights to Japanese stakeholders. 
    • Interest in console/PC video games and Capcom products. 
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, finance, analytics or a related field.

Salary Range:
$65,000 - $100,000 *Compensation for this position will be determined based on relevant factors including, but not limited to, industry knowledge, experience, qualification, and skill set.
  • Less than 3 years of experience: $65,000 - $80,000
  • 3 or more years of experience: $75,000 - $100,000
