Associate Producer

The Associate Producer assists newscast producers with various tasks including writing stories, creating graphics, editing video, and posting content online. This role involves balancing news and feature content for compelling broadcasts, pitching story ideas, managing news segments, and interacting with viewers on social media. The position also includes training to produce newscasts.

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexibility to work any shift including weekends and on holidays
