Job Description

The Axiom Technical Lead will provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, leading by example in coding, architectural design, and best practices. Responsibilities include managing strategic changes, BAU, and small changes within trade & transaction reporting. The role requires ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, maintaining technical standards, and influencing technology strategies. This involves working with business and technology stakeholders, supporting SIT, UAT, and production implementation, as well as post-production support. The ideal candidate will possess strong Axiom Controller View expertise, SQL skills, and experience with relational databases. Experience with client-server application development, OOP, and design patterns is essential. Agile experience is a plus.

Must have:

8+ years finance experience (3+ in Axiom Controller View)
Strong Axiom object/functionality knowledge
SQL, relational data modeling expertise
Client-server application development experience
OOP and design patterns understanding
Technical leadership and mentorship
Project delivery on time and within budget

Good to have:

JIRA
Agile experience

Project description

Project involves taking care of below activities within trade & transaction reporting:
a) Strategic changes
b) BAU
c) Small changes

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.

Lead by example in coding, architectural design, and best practices.

Reviewing the work of other developers with feedback for improvement (if applicable)

Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases.

Ensure to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Maintain, drive, supervise and implement good technical standards, systems and processes

Influence technology strategies and decisions with a high-level of expertise and knowledge

Provide direction and support to ensure compliance and standards.

Technical Skill

Coding and Unit Testing in Axiom application.

Working with Business and technology stakeholders, supporting SIT, UAT and Production implementation.

Support the production rollout and help support team during warranty.

Develop application (source code) based on specifications

Debug/modify the source code based on specifications

Skills

Must have

8+ years of overall experience in Finance industry out of which minimum 3 years in Axiom Controller View

Good understanding of axiom objects / functionalities

Data Sources, Data Models, Shorthand's, Portfolios, Aggregations, Fee Form, Tabular Report, workflow, sign-off, freezing etc.

Strong knowledge of SQL, understanding of relational data modelling

Experience with any major relational database (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, SYBASE)

Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting

Good understanding and experience in client-server applications development

Good understanding of OOP and design patterns h) Familiarity with Agile process
