Job Summary
As our Brazilian Portuguese Language Specialist, you’ll own the quality and consistency of all Brazilian Portuguese content for Call of Duty, driving transformation through AI and automation. You will partner with Project Management, Localisation QA, and other Language Specialists to ensure authentic, player-focused, and on-brand content. You will be an expert for terminology, style, and cultural adaptation, bringing a solution mindset to improve workflows and deliver results.
Must Have
- Own the quality and consistency of all Brazilian Portuguese content for Call of Duty.
- Drive transformation through AI and automation, implementing new post-editing, translation, and review workflows.
- Partner closely with Project Management, Localisation QA, and other Language Specialists.
- Be a go-to expert for terminology, style, and cultural adaptation.
- Bring a solution mindset, flag blockers, propose improvements, and play an active part in feedback.
- Localise Call of Duty content from English to Brazilian Portuguese.
- Review and approve assets before publication.
- Provide guidance to external vendors and internal testers.
- Proactively track, evaluate, and help fix linguistic bugs and quality issues.
- Maintain and evolve translation assets (glossary, termbase, translation memories and style guides).
- Previous experience as a Brazilian Portuguese Translator/Language Specialist.
- Experience using memoQ or other CAT tools.
Good to Have
- Demonstrated experience in post-editing and reviewing MT output.
- Familiarity with automation tools and AI-driven workflows.
- Familiarity with shooter games, multiplayer, and live content.
- Problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and experiment.
- Understanding of cultural sensitivities and the gaming market in Brazil.

Your Mission
As our Brazilian Portuguese Language Specialist, you’ll:
- Own the quality and consistency of all Brazilian Portuguese content for Call of Duty - gameplay, in-game UI, multiplayer, live events, and marketing assets.
- Be a driver of transformation as we reshape our future through AI and automation. You’ll be hands-on in implementing new post-editing, translation, and review workflows, helping us raise the bar for speed and quality.
- Partner closely with Project Management, Localisation QA, and other Language Specialists to ensure Brazilian Portuguese content is always authentic, player-focused, and on-brand.
- Be a go-to expert for terminology, style, and cultural adaptation, helping the team and our external vendors solve problems and deliver results.
- Bring a solution mindset, not just a translation skillset - flag blockers, propose workflow or tech improvements, and play an active part in feedback, review, and change.
Player Profile
Responsibilities
- Localise Call of Duty content (game, in-game text, audio scripts, live events, and marketing) from English to Brazilian Portuguese, using both traditional translation and post-editing workflows.
- Take an active role in the rollout and improvement of AI-powered, automated localisation pipelines, including post-editing machine translation outputs.
- Review and approve assets before publication.
- Collaborate with Project Management, QA, and other Language Specialists to ensure clarity of expectations and alignment on quality.
- Provide guidance to external Brazilian Portuguese vendors and internal testers; answer style and translation queries.
- Proactively track, evaluate, and help fix linguistic bugs and quality issues.
- Maintain and evolve translation assets (glossary, termbase, translation memories and style guides).
- Take part in team reviews, feedback loops, and continuous improvement cycles while experimenting with new tools and workflows.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Brazilian Portuguese Translator/Language Specialist, ideally in the games industry.
- Demonstrated experience in post-editing and reviewing MT output is highly desirable.
- Experience using memoQ or other CAT tools.
- Familiarity with automation tools and AI-driven workflows is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills
- Native-level Brazilian Portuguese, business-level English.
- Strong creative writing and localisation adaptation skills.
- Familiarity with shooter games, multiplayer, and live content is a distinct advantage.
- Problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn, adapt, and experiment.
- Understanding of cultural sensitivities and the gaming market in Brazil.
- Enthusiasm for AI, automation, and being part of a team driving positive change.
