Job Summary

As a bridge inspector, you will alternate between fieldwork performing various types of inspections and investigations of bridge and facility structures, and designing and calculating load-bearing capacities for maintenance and reinforcement measures. You will also act as an advisor in asset management for clients and colleagues within WSP Bridge & Infrastructure Construction. The role requires a relevant university degree, at least 5 years of experience in bridge management and inspection, and proficiency in BaTMan and planning tools. Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, and a B driving license are essential.

About us

The Bridge & Infrastructure Construction section continuously strives to expand and broaden its operations. The market remains very good, and our section needs more bridge inspectors across the country to better meet the demand for our services.

Within the Bridge & Infrastructure Construction section, WSP has gathered the company's specialist expertise in bridge technology, hydraulic engineering, and marine structures in all phases from investigation, planning, and design to construction and management. The section, which is among the market leaders in Sweden, is also a leader in 3D design and 3D modeling in the country.

About the role

As a bridge inspector, you will alternate between fieldwork performing various types of inspections and investigations of bridge and facility structures, and designing and calculating load-bearing capacities for maintenance and reinforcement measures.

In this role, you will also act as an advisor in asset management for clients and other employees within WSP Bridge & Infrastructure Construction.

Fieldwork takes place on-site at the structures, which involves travel.

The work is project-based within design, operation, and maintenance.

There is an opportunity to develop into a leading role with assignment responsibility and client contact.

You are expected to have a solid technical base and good planning ability.

Your profile

We expect you to have at least a relevant university degree. Furthermore, you have at least 5 years of experience in bridge management and inspection of bridges and facilities, as well as an approved certificate in the Swedish Transport Administration's bridge inspection course. You are proficient in BaTMan and planning tools and have the necessary knowledge of ABK.
