Job Description

As a Business Analyst - Deputy Manager at Paytm, you will assist growth managers using strong data analytics and business acumen. Responsibilities include analyzing merchant behavior from multiple data sources, automating customer behavior reports using various tools, creating new reports and streamlining analytics processes. You will translate business problems into solutions using data modeling, fetch data from Hive for transaction reports, write/edit SQL queries for data analysis, and track key metrics like transactions, GMV, and users. The role requires expertise in advanced Excel, dashboard creation, and data modeling. Familiarity with SQL, BQ, Hive/Starbust, and Looker Studio is beneficial. This role offers experience in the fast-growing Fintech and UPI ecosystem, allowing you to tackle challenging problems and enhance your analytical skills.

Must have:

About the role: We are looking for business analysts. Business analysts will be assisting growth managers with their strong data analytics and business acumen skills.

Expectations/ Requirements:

1. Analyzing merchant behavior acquired from multiple data cuts

Automating regular customer behavior reports using multiple tools and coordinating with different teams (Must have)

2. Creating new reports, streamline the process of analytics (Must have)

3. Understand the business problems and translate them into suitable business solutions using data modeling techniques (Must have)

4. Fetching data from HIVE and preparing transaction reports on daily basis in user readable format with actionable insights (Good to have)

5. Writing/editing SQL queries on a day to day basis for regular data reports and performing data analysis on a regular basis (Good to have)

6. Track transactions, GMV, users and many more parameters on a regular basis.

Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role:

- 4+ years of experience in a Data Analyst / Business Analyst / Data Science role.

- Must have expertise in Advanced Excel, Dashboard Creation, Data Modelling

SQ, BQ, Hive/Starbust, Looker Studio working knowledge (Good to have)

- Familiarity with internal databases related to customer and transaction level data.

- Background in mathematics / statistics / econometrics / engineering and solid understanding of data analytics.

- Preferably worked in Internet/E-commerce/Retail/Analytics Consulting space in a Growth/Marketing function.

- Ability to share well-articulated updates to all stakeholders and to Senior Management.

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to cross functional partners of varying technical levels.

- Ability to properly follow through and escalate matters to concerned stakeholders and leaders to push the work forward.
