Summary

Administration

Ensures that the Food and Beverage activities are aligned with the respective Corporate Strategy, and that the Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate.

Oversees the preparation and update of Bar Operations Manuals in the Food and Beverage Division.

Conducts regular divisional communications meetings and ensures that departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conducted as necessary.

Represents the Bar function to Food & Beverage department.

Customer Service

Ensures the delivery of brand promise and provides exceptional guest service at all times.

Provides excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.

Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.

Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

Establishes a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships.

Operational

Ensures that minimum brand standards have been implemented.

Embraces all Touches of Hyatt and the Food and Beverage Top 20.

Responds to the results of the Consumer Audit and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented.

Works closely with other Outlet employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.

Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.

Presents menu/ drinks list, answers enquiries and makes suggestions regarding food, beverage and service to guests.

Ensures all food and beverage items, equipment and other facilities in the Outlet are maintained according to the Departmental Operation Manual requirements.

Familiars and have good knowledge of the Outlet’s Menu and Wine List.

Ensure the Up-selling of beverage and required training need to facilitate for the same.

Ensure the par stocks of beverages and guest supplies is maintained.

Strictly adheres to all policies and procedures issued by the Finance with regard to cashiering and cash handling.

Personnel

Supports the implementation of The People Philosophy, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.

Other Duties

Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required.

Exercises responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel team and Hyatt International.

Maintains strong, professional relationship with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organisations.

Reads the hotel's Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to computer resources, fire, hygiene, health and safety.

Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.

Responds to changes in the Food and Beverage function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.

Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management.

Minimum 2 years work experience in hotel operations with high knowledge of Mixology and beverage.

Good customer service, communications and interpersonal skills are a must.

Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.

Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
