Job Summary

The role of a Clinical MRI Scientist (m/f/d) at Philips involves strengthening the Magnet Resonance Imaging (MRI) team, defining and shaping future products with university and scientific partners. This role focuses on supporting clinical research partners in MRI, particularly in oncological, body, and MSK MRI, including planning and implementing radiological MRI-based applications, research projects, and clinical studies. Must Have

  • Support clinical research partners in MRI (oncological, body, MSK MRI).
  • Plan, technically implement, and conduct radiological MRI-based applications, research projects, and clinical studies.
  • Manage projects and organize KOL customer support for First-of-a-kind (FOK) evaluations.
  • Take on advanced clinical applications tasks with self-prioritization of KOLs.
  • Build and maintain customer networks and provide consultation on MRI-specific clinical/technical topics.
  • Liaise with the MRI Business Unit and research laboratories for customer studies.
  • Contribute to defining new clinical MRI-based applications and methods.
  • Conduct customer training and presentations.

In this position, you will have the opportunity

as a Clinical Scientist MR (m/f/d) in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) at Philips to strengthen our team with your competencies and to develop further. Our MRI business has grown particularly strongly in recent years, and we want to expand this area further. Together with our university and scientifically working customers, we want to further define and shape the products of the future. The international Clinical Science team specializes primarily in MRI, but also in CT, nuclear medicine, and other imaging and intervention procedures. There is close cooperation with the Business Units, the Sales organizations, Research, and other international Clinical Science organizations, as well as Application.

You will be responsible for the following topics

  • Supporting our clinical research cooperation partners in the field of MRI, and particularly in oncological, body, and MSK MRI: planning, technical implementation, and execution of radiological MRI-based applications, research projects, and clinical studies.
  • Project management, support, and organization of our KOL customers for First-of-a-kind (FOK) evaluations.
  • Taking on tasks in the advanced Clinical Applications area with self-prioritization of KOLs.
  • Building and maintaining networks of our customers and advising on MRI-specific clinical/technical topics, e.g., in the context of new acquisitions.
  • Liaison with the MRI Business Unit in Best (Holland) and the research laboratories, e.g., in Hamburg, in the context of studies to be carried out at customer sites.
  • Participation in the definition of new clinical MRI-based applications and methods.
  • Organizing training for our customers.
  • Customer support and conducting presentations.

To be successful in this position, you need the following knowledge and experience

  • Completed technical or scientific university degree or equivalent clinical or medical-technical experience.
  • High level of competence (>10 years) in the application of clinical MRI in the areas of application and technology required.
  • Basic understanding of physiological and biochemical processes.
  • Confident demeanor, competence in customer support.
  • High scientific enthusiasm and affinity, creativity in finding new technical solutions.
  • Fun and joy in collaborative research with our customers.
  • Enthusiasm for collaboration between industry and research.
  • Excellent ability to convey own knowledge and experience to our customers.
  • High degree of flexibility as well as customer-oriented, independent, and quality-conscious action.
  • Fluent German and English skills.
