Job Summary
Thales, a global high-tech leader in Defense & Security, Aerospace & Space, and Cyber & Digital, is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer. This role involves packaging internal and external digital solutions for development, validation, delivery, and secure deployment. The engineer will implement CI/CD pipelines, support development teams in packaging, investigate production issues, and promote DevSecOps practices within Agile (SCRUM) teams. Solutions are deployed on private clouds, maximizing managed services (Azure, Google) and occasionally as application packages on infrastructure.
Must Have
- Implement evolving CI/CD chains and ensure application supervision.
- Support development teams in packaging for development to operation mastery.
- Contribute to and lead investigations for production problem resolution.
- Contribute to deploying DevSecOps practices and supporting developers.
- Develop pipelines for application transition from development to production (GitLab).
- Develop and deploy CI/CD chains integrating security aspects (security as code, SAST/SCA, Code quality, container scanning).
- Experience with K8S services (Azure, Google), Linux/Windows environments.
- Proficiency in Python, PHP, Java, Shell, SGBD (SQL, NoSQL), Ansible.
- Ability to investigate and resolve problems.
- Experience in implementing and continuously improving DevSecOps.

Your daily life
At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales' most important technological centers of excellence. The diversity and technicality of the systems and equipment mobilize expertise in more than 80 professions in defense, high-tech security, and digital services solutions.
The architecture, security, and Ops team is looking for an engineer to package our internal and external digital solutions for their development, validation, delivery, and deployment with full control and security.
These solutions are developed and maintained by our squads; the integrated team aims to develop and maintain WEB applications according to an AGILE approach (SCRUM method) with a focus on efficiency and user satisfaction. We sometimes integrate COTS into our solutions (Data viz, CMMS, ETL). Thus, the DevSecOps directly contributes to the efficiency of the activities carried out daily by our SCRUMs.
The position: The DevSecOps Engineer will implement automation for our digital solutions within an agreed framework in a small team (pool of 3 DevSecOps) and in coherence with the evolution roadmaps of our operational Information Systems and their security. Our solutions are deployed on generally private Clouds, maximizing the use of available managed services (Azure, Google Technologies). More marginally, we provide application packages that are installed on infrastructures.
As a DevSecOps, your missions will include:
- Implementing evolving CI/CD (Continuous Integration, CDelivery, CDeployment) chains and ensuring application supervision
- Supporting development teams in packaging to ensure the best control from development to operation
- Contributing to and/or leading investigations necessary for resolving production problems (incidents/anomalies)
- Contributing to the deployment of DevSecOps practices and supporting developers in their practices impacting operations
Your profile
Do you have the ambition to thrive on DevSecOps missions?
You have a Bac+5 level diploma and 5 years of experience, particularly in:
- Developing pipelines allowing applications to move from development to staging, then to production (GitLab)
- Developing and deploying CI/CD chains integrating all security aspects (security as code), (SAST/SCA, Code quality, container scanning etc…)
- K8S services (Azure, Google Technologies), Linux/Windows environments, and development languages Python, PHP, Java, Shell, SGBD (SQL and other NoSQL), Ansible
- Investigation and problem resolution
- Setting up and continuous improvement of a DevSecOps approach within development teams
