Must Have

- Organize and manage audio files, applying proper naming and maintaining records.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during the editing process.

Purpose of Job:
The Audio Editor plays a key role within the Audio/Post team. As an Audio Editor, you will need to ensure that all tasks, technical and administrative, are completed in a timely manner to support the delivery of audio assets. You will support the recording and post-production team, helping to ensure the timely completion of deliverables and milestones.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Dialogue Editing: Edit and clean up dialogue tracks to ensure clarity, consistency, and high-quality sound.
- Noise Reduction: Apply noise reduction techniques to remove unwanted pops, noise and artefacts.
- Synchronisation: Ensure dialogue is perfectly synchronised with the visual elements of the project, when applicable.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks to maintain audio standards and consistency across all projects. Work with provided tools and scripts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with recording engineers, sound designers, and other team members to achieve the desired audio outcome.
- File Management: Organise and manage audio files, applying the proper filenaming struction and maintaining detailed records and backups.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during the editing process.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- Proficiency with Pro Tools, Izotope RX, Excel.
- Nice to have: knowledge or proficiency with Adobe Audition.
- Ability to work in both Mac and PC environments.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen ear for audio quality.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Able to adapt and learn new skills and software.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Self-driven, resourceful and a team player who can work well with all levels.
Qualifications:
- Education: A degree or diploma in audio engineering, sound design, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in dialogue editing or a related field.
