Job Summary

We are looking for a Discipline Lead with expertise and interest in civil engineering structures for our Road & Rail business unit. You will be part of an ambitious interdisciplinary team dedicated to designing and delivering a wide range of infrastructure constructions, including new concrete road bridges, platform structures, underground facilities, sheet pile walls, retaining walls, steel structures, and many other types of civil engineering structures. You will be responsible for technical leadership, project management, quality assurance, and design tasks for major public clients, contributing to sustainable transport infrastructure.

Must Have

  • Technical leadership and project management on selected projects
  • Quality assurance and sparring regarding bridges and structures
  • Responsibility for technical competencies in civil engineering structures
  • Design and project planning tasks for large public clients
  • Input for bidding and sales tasks
  • Educational background as a Diploma or Civil Engineer
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a designer and/or discipline lead/project manager
  • Strong professional interest and innovative thinking in civil engineering structures (bridges, tunnels, foundations, retaining walls, hydraulic structures, etc.)
  • Experience in calculations and design of civil engineering structures
  • Good linguistic skills: Danish and English at a professional level in writing and speaking
  • Ability to work independently and share professional knowledge
  • Driver's license for passenger car (B)

About the job

In “Bridges & Civil Structures”, we are dedicated to designing and delivering a wide range of infrastructure constructions, including new concrete road bridges, platform structures, underground facilities, sheet pile walls, retaining walls, steel structures, and many other types of civil engineering structures.

In your daily work, you will be responsible for:

  • Technical leadership and project management on selected projects
  • Quality assurance and sparring regarding bridges and structures
  • Responsibility for the technical competencies within civil engineering structures
  • Design and project planning tasks for large public clients
  • Input for bidding and sales tasks

Qualifications

You have an educational background as a Diploma or Civil Engineer and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a designer and/or discipline lead/project manager, and we imagine that you will fit well into the job if you have:

  • Great professional interest and are innovative within civil engineering structures, such as bridges, tunnels, foundations, retaining walls, hydraulic structures, etc.
  • Experience in calculations and design of civil engineering structures
  • Project management experience and/or team leadership will be an advantage
  • International experience (a plus), as we collaborate across AFRY offices worldwide
  • Good linguistic skills: Danish and English at a professional level in writing and speaking.

AFRY has 9 locations in Denmark. Depending on your tasks, you can work exactly where you are most productive, innovative, and focused. It is a requirement that you have a driver's license for a passenger car (B).
