Activate, a tech company known for interactive gaming facilities, is seeking a full-time, permanent Electronics Assembler for the night shift in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role involves operating pick and place machines, reflow ovens, and various hand soldering tools. Must Have

We are a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion, and are looking to expand our manufacturing team with the addition of an Electronics Assembler. A successful applicant will be expected to operate pick and place machines, reflow ovens, and various hand soldering tools. This is a full-time, permanent position. The night shift is scheduled for 11:00 pm - 7:00 am with the first shift of the week starting at 11:00 pm on Sunday and the last shift of the week ending at 7:00 am on Friday.

The Duties and Responsibilities:

Electronics Assembly

  • Performs various types of soldering including surface mount, thru-hole, and hand-soldering
  • Sets up equipment and solders components together
  • Completes project by smoothing rough edges of product
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

Testing and Assembly

  • Gathers components needed to meet production schedules
  • Tests finished boards to check functionality
  • Follows technical drawings and specifications

Preventative Maintenance & Repair

  • Documents production totals and any errors
  • Repairs circuit boards
  • Cleans work area and equipment

The Qualifications:

  • Electronics Technologist diploma or equivalent experience preferred;
  • Minimum of 1-year experience with electronics soldering and hardware assembly;
  • Access to reliable transportation is required;
