Job Summary
Micron Technology is seeking an Electronics Laboratory Technician to support engineering activities related to semiconductor device design, testing, reliability, qualification, characterization, and validation. The role involves performing operational tests, troubleshooting malfunctions, and operating various diagnostic and test equipment, including Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for memory devices. The technician will also be responsible for reconfiguring and installing test equipment, collaborating with engineers, and demonstrating strong organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Must Have
- Support semiconductor device engineering activities (design, testing, reliability, validation).
- Perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting using schematics and diagrams.
- Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
- Operate manufacturing, testing, and diagnostic equipment.
- Execute memory device tests using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Reconfigure and adapt test equipment setups.
- Proficiency in PC operations, Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web browsers.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Adherence to safety policies.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of ATE for memory devices (handlers, wafer probers, thermal chambers).
- Familiarity with metrology standards.

The selected candidate:
- Supports engineering activities such as Product Design, Testing, Reliability, Product Qualification, Product Characterization and Product Validation of semiconductor devices.
- Performs testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions based on schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or specified plans.
- Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
- Assists in figuring out methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
- Collaborates with engineers and technicians from other Micron sites to enhance equipment performance
- Good verbal and written communication skills needed to get along with teams of R&D and Quality Engineers, Analysts and other Laboratories
- Demonstrates safety awareness by adhering to all Micron safety policies and proactively identifying potential hazards before performing work on any equipment.
- Operates manufacturing, testing, development, or diagnostic equipment, which includes but is not limited to test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized testing apparatus.
- Performs memory device test executions using Automated Test Equipment (ATE). Duties include loading and unloading devices, uploading and initiating test programs, and collecting test results such as binning and sorting.
- Responsible for reconfiguring test equipment, adapting various setups, and supporting the installation of new equipment capabilities to meet laboratory requirements.
- Demonstrates independence and sound decision-making in handling assigned workflows.
- Flexibility to cover shifts based on business demands.
The preferred candidate will have:
- Knowledge in Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for testing memory devices, including handlers, wafer probers, and thermal chambers.
- Knowledge of metrology standards.
- Knowledge of memory and storage systems.
- Customer-focused, proactivity and problem-solving mindset.
- Flexibility to handle short notice needs/requests.
- Working experience of a laboratory environment.
- Availability to work on weekends if needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required, along with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Education
- High school Diploma in Electronics/Informatics or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of English language (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in personal computer operations and related software, including Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web browsers. Basic AI knowledge is valued.
