Job Summary

Thales is seeking an Engineering Environment Manager in Bangalore, India. This role involves managing the deployment of engineering environments, acting as a liaison between engineering and IS/IT, advising on environment configuration, and training on tooled-up processes. The manager will also define workbench architecture, support data migration strategies, and manage license portfolios. The position requires expertise in engineering tools, cloud platforms, and large project development practices, contributing to Thales's mission in aerospace, cybersecurity, and digital identity.

Must Have

  • Master of Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field
  • Hands-on experience in managing engineering tools, systems & software license
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platform, IT/IS and server maintenance
  • Experience in engineering development practices in large projects
  • Good knowledge about standards and best practices in engineering
  • Qualifications and experience in systems engineering of complex programs
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to develop an effective network with key individuals

Engineering Environment Management

Experience & Skill needed:

  • You graduated with a Master of Engineering, Computer Science or any relevant field
  • Hands on experience in managing different engineering tools, systems & software license management

As an Engineering Environment Management Role within Thales, you will:

  • Manage as a project the Engineering Environment deployment, in line with the corresponding Engineering Performance Plan and the Engineering Environment Group Strategy
  • Act as a focal point between engineering and IS/IT (Information Security and Information Technology)
  • Advice on Engineering Environment and configure workbench for projects
  • Train and coach on engineering tooled-up processes and practices
  • Define the workbench architecture: Orchestra tools and add-ons tools, core models, logical architecture
  • Support data migrations strategy for engineering workbenches taking into account data structure
  • Manage Licenses portfolio and Licenses legal analysis
