For 30 years we’ve been independently developing and publishing incredible video games, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.
As a Finance Intern, you’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, build practical skills, and contribute to real projects at our creative and relaxed headquarters along the Oxford riverside.
What You'll Do & Learn:
This will be an eight-week project working closely with senior members of the finance to re-model the tax forecasting process. You will be working with advanced Excel, including macros if appropriate, but the business will be happy to look at any of your proposals around the best way to take forward this element of the tax forecasting.
Rebellion as a video game developer, benefits from Video Game Expenditure Credits (‘VGEC’). VGEC provides video game development companies with a tax credit worth up to 20.4% of core development spend. For Rebellion, this is worth millions of pounds in corporation tax refunds each year.
Rebellion is seeking to improve its forecasting of the potential VGEC credits for future years, the project will involve integration the existing tax credit calculations with the group trading and cash flow forecast mode and overlaying tax specific factors that apply to Rebellion to deliver an accurate estimate of expected future tax credit receipts. Completion of the project will provide enhanced insight to the business on likely cash inflows from tax credits, which in turn will provide senior management with greater clarity around future cash flow performance.
The project will be of interest to those looking for Finance, Commercial or Legal based experience.
