Forward-Deployed Frontend Engineer

Magna, backed by Trend Micro and Wistron, is seeking a Forward-Deployed Frontend Engineer to build secure, scalable enterprise AI solutions. This role involves designing and implementing interactive user interfaces for advanced AI models, including RAG systems and Copilots. You will work directly with clients and AI engineers to translate complex model outputs into intuitive user experiences, focusing on dynamic, conversational, and generative UIs. Responsibilities include developing high-performance UIs, mastering AI interaction patterns, creating data visualizations, and architecting scalable frontend systems.

Must Have

• Build Next-Gen AI Interfaces for RAG systems, Copilots, and multi-agent workflows
• Master AI Interaction Patterns like streaming responses and Generative UI
• Create interactive data visualizations for high-dimensional data and model observability
• Design scalable frontend architectures (Micro-frontends or Monorepos)
• Collaborate with Backend and AI Engineers to define API schemas
• Travel to client sites to understand workflows and prototype UI solutions
• Expert proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frameworks (React, Next.js, or Vue)
• Effective English communication for international clients
• Willingness to travel abroad for client engagements
• Strong sense of product design and user experience (UX)
• Deep understanding of complex state management (Zustand, Redux, Context API)
• Experience with WebSockets, SSE, or gRPC-web for real-time communication
• Ability to optimize rendering performance for large datasets
• Proficiency in Tailwind CSS, CSS-in-JS, or component libraries (Shadcn/UI, Material UI)

Good to Have

• Experience integrating with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or local models via LangChain.js)
• Knowledge of Generative UI concepts
• Experience with Canvas/WebGL (Three.js) for 3D data visualization
• Familiarity with Python or basic backend logic
• Understanding of Cybersecurity dashboards or Enterprise SaaS patterns

You won't just build dashboards; you will design and implement the interactive layer where Enterprise AI delivers its value. We are looking for engineers who understand that in the era of LLMs, the "Interface" is no longer static—it is conversational, generative, and dynamic. You will work directly with clients and AI engineers to translate complex model outputs into intuitive, impactful user experiences.

What You'll Do

Your work defines how users perceive and interact with AI. You might:

• Build Next-Gen AI Interfaces: Develop high-performance UIs for RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems, Copilots, and multi-agent workflows.
• Master AI Interaction Patterns: Implement complex features like streaming responses (Server-Sent Events), optimistic UI updates, and "Generative UI" components that adapt based on AI context.
• Data Visualization: Create interactive visualizations for high-dimensional data, knowledge graphs, and model observability metrics using modern libraries (e.g., D3.js, Recharts, Cytoscape).
• Architect for Scale: Design scalable frontend architectures (Micro-frontends or Monorepos) that can handle enterprise-grade security and state management.
• Bridge the Gap: Collaborate closely with Backend and AI Engineers to define API schemas that optimize latency and user experience.
• Client-Facing Innovation: Travel to client sites to understand their workflows and prototype UI solutions that solve specific business pain points.

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, HCI, or related fields.
• Expert proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frameworks (React, Next.js, or Vue).
• Effective English communication — comfortable collaborating with international clients (interview conducted in English).
• Willingness to travel abroad for client engagements (Forward-Deployed nature).
• A strong sense of product design and user experience (UX).

Technical Requirements

• State Management: Deep understanding of complex state management (Zustand, Redux, Context API) necessary for handling long-context conversations and multi-step agent tasks.
• Real-time Communication: Experience with WebSockets, SSE (Server-Sent Events), or gRPC-web for handling streaming AI tokens.
• Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize rendering performance for large datasets or complex DOM structures.
• Modern CSS/Styling: Proficiency in Tailwind CSS, CSS-in-JS, or component libraries (Shadcn/UI, Material UI).

Nice-to-have (The "AI-Ready" Bonus)

• Knowledge of Generative UI concepts (rendering UI components dynamically based on LLM output).
