Intern - Quality Engineering - San Diego, CA- Summer 2026

This internship offers a paid opportunity for undergraduate students in Engineering or Bioengineering to join Philips' Quality Team in San Diego, CA for Summer 2026. Interns will support key transformation and sustaining initiatives, working with cross-functional teams within the Quality Department and across the IGT-Devices Business Unit. The role provides hands-on experience and an understanding of operating in a highly regulated medical device industry.

Must Have

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Bioengineering program
• Detail oriented, analytical, problem solving, & organization skills
• Ability to successfully perform minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements
• US work authorization is a precondition of employment
• Reside in or within commuting distance of San Diego, CA

Good to Have

• 2+ years of experience in University and/or previous internships or coops

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an office role.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position in San Diego, CA is $29.00 to $32.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
