Job Summary

This 5-6 month internship at Thales in Cholet, France, is for a Supply Chain and Lean Management Engineer within the Tactical Security & Systems Industrial Department. The intern will manage industrial lots from SAP requirement to customer delivery, acting as a key industrial contact for project managers. Responsibilities include leading continuous improvement projects, implementing Lean methodologies (Kaizens/PDCA), developing automation and BI tools, monitoring key performance indicators, and managing internal projects to enhance operational skills in project management, industrial logistics, and quality.

Must Have

  • BAC+4/5 student in logistics, industrial management, or quality.
  • First experience in the industrial sector.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial logistics and ERP systems.
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Proficiency in project management, flow management, and industrial organization.
  • Mastery of Lean methodology.
  • Experience working with Power BI.
  • Knowledge of ERP information systems.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, listening, synthesis, and teamwork skills.

Your daily life

5 to 6 month internship located in Cholet (49)

You will join the Tactical Security & Systems (TS2) Industrial Department in the Equipment Supply Chain Manager team.

Its role is the management of an industrial lot from the expression of need in SAP (ADV) to customer delivery.

As such, you are the privileged industrial contact for project managers and you interact with all industrial stakeholders.

You will develop your skills in several areas: project management, industrial logistics (ADV / planning / flow management / warehouse management / transport), quality.

Your missions:

  • Lead continuous improvement projects in close collaboration with referents,
  • Carry out Kaizens / PDCA with the teams, harmonize practices & develop tools (e.g., automation of low value-added activities, BI development, initiating artificial intelligence projects…),
  • Participate in monitoring key indicators,
  • Manage internal lots to develop operational skills.

Your profile:

Currently in BAC+4/5, are you looking for a 5 to 6 month internship with an option in logistics, industrial management and/or quality?

Do you have a first experience in the industrial world and have acquired basic knowledge in industrial logistics (ERP operation)?

Do you have strong IT skills (Excel, SQL, Power BI, ...)?

Are you comfortable with project management, flow management and industrial organization?

Do you master the Lean methodology?

Have you already worked on Power BI?

Do you have knowledge of ERP type information systems?

Are your adaptability, listening, synthesis and teamwork skills recognized assets?

All our internships are remunerated and subject to a gratification whose amount is determined according to your level of study. The position may require access to information relating to national defense secrecy, the selected person will be subject to an authorization procedure, in accordance with the provisions of articles R.2311-1 et seq. of the Defense Code and IGI 1300 SGDSN/PSE of August 09, 2021.
