Job Description
Let's build a future of trust together
Thales is a global leader in high technologies specializing in three sectors: Defense & Security, Aeronautics & Space, and Cyber & Digital. It develops products and solutions that contribute to a safer, more environmentally friendly, and more inclusive world. The Group invests nearly 4 billion euros per year in Research & Development, particularly in key innovation areas such as AI, cybersecurity, quantum, cloud technologies, and 6G. Thales has nearly 81,000 employees in 68 countries.
Our commitments, your benefits
- Success driven by our technological excellence, your experience, and our shared ambition.
- An attractive compensation package.
- Continuous skill development: training courses, internal academies, and communities.
- An inclusive, benevolent environment that respects employee balance.
- Recognized societal and environmental commitment.
Your daily life
Located 20 minutes from the Paris-Saclay technology hub, the site is one of the largest centers of excellence for surface radars. We contribute to developing, designing, integrating, and testing air surveillance radars dedicated to detecting and identifying targets.
By joining us within the system engineering department of the UMR sector, you will participate in integration, verification, validation, and qualification activities on the platform for grouping basic building blocks and then, in a second phase, on the first delivered radar.
Radars are systems integrating mechanical, electrotechnical components, antennas, RF components, optical components, real-time digital data processing software, network equipment, and automatons.
In this capacity, your missions are as follows:
- By delegation from the IVVQ Manager, platform and tooling management: optimize resource utilization, enrich the platform through the automation of test procedures.
- Perform functional analyses on simulated or recorded radar data. This first level of analysis will allow functional and software engineering teams to make necessary corrections.
- Develop your own analysis tools to identify and resolve problems encountered during tests.
- Draft IVVQ documents: acceptance procedure manual, test results, qualification sheets.
- During the verification phase, within the framework of the strategy defined by the IVVQ manager and the EDM: definition, development, and execution of test procedures and scenarios, exploitation of recordings with business tools, drafting of analysis/evidence documents, relying on the technical expertise of different teams.
- Analyze and formalize encountered Hardware or Software anomalies (non-compliance with specifications, regressions) as technical facts. Active management of concerned technical facts: proposal of solutions and subsequent validation of corrections.
- Master the configuration of tested software and hardware.
- Participate in acceptances (factory or customer site) or validations in the presence of the client or their representatives.
- Contribute to periodic IVVQ activity reporting to project technical management and hierarchy.
- Contribute to the definition and development of test tools and means.
Travel within France is to be expected (especially for the on-radar part at the client's site).
Your profile
Do you have the ambition and desire to thrive in IVVQ-oriented missions?
Do you have an engineering degree or equivalent Bac+5 and:
- You are specialized in signal processing, electrical engineering, computer science, and/or RF.
- You have confirmed experience of at least 5 years in IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification).
- You master the Linux environment on Tool PCs and the Matlab environment for exploiting operational and internal data of each equipment.
- You are autonomous, rigorous, and adaptable in technically complex situations.
- Knowledge of the radar domain would be a plus.
Are dynamism, team spirit, and proactivity recognized strengths of yours?
