Lead Data Scientist - Deep Learning based Computer Vision
As a Lead Data Scientist specializing in Deep Learning for Computer Vision at Honeywell, you will guide data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling projects within the computer vision domain. You will prioritize data science initiatives focusing on deep learning and computer vision, ensuring these projects align with business goals and objectives. Your proficiency in deep learning algorithms and computer vision techniques will be essential in delivering impactful insights that address complex business problems. Reporting directly to our Data Science Director, you will work from our Bangalore location on a Hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the creation and implementation of sophisticated deep learning models and algorithms for computer vision.
Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions in computer vision.
Mentor junior data scientists, promoting a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Foster innovation within the team by exploring new methodologies and technologies to improve analytical capabilities in computer vision.
Professional Development
YOU MUST HAVE
Over 8 years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning.
Demonstrated experience in leading data science teams and successfully completing projects in deep learning-based computer vision.
Proficiency in Python and libraries used in data science and computer vision, such as PyTorch, OpenCV, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
Familiarity with concepts like CNNs, RNNs, and advanced architectures like ResNet, EfficientNet, and YOLO.
Knowledge of transfer learning and fine-tuning pre-trained models, feature extraction, edge detection, and the use of ONNX, TensorRT, or OpenVINO for model deployment.
Experience with deployment frameworks like Flask or FastAPI and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
Preferred Hardware Knowledge About GPUs/TPUs.
