Lead Principal Field Application Engineering

Infineon is seeking an exceptional and highly experienced engineering leader to serve as Head of Field Application Engineering (FAE) for India. This strategic role involves defining technical engagement vision, leading an expert FAE team to drive customer success and pioneering design wins in key Indian market segments. The leader will champion next-generation technologies, develop technical strategies, collaborate with sales and marketing, and influence global product roadmaps.

Must Have

• Be the trusted authority on power semiconductor solutions for high-power industrial applications and low-power embedded systems.
• Champion next-generation technologies (GaN/SiC power solutions, advanced microcontrollers, energy harvesting ICs).
• Develop and execute technical strategies aligned with India’s evolving market needs (mobility electrification, industrial renewables, solar, hydrogen energy, low-power IoT).
• Lead, mentor, and expand a high-caliber team of Field Application Engineers.
• Collaborate closely with sales and marketing to identify and secure strategic design wins.
• Influence Infineon's global roadmap by translating unique customer requirements into actionable insights.
• Drive technical enablement by training sales and distribution partners on advanced system designs and Infineon’s product advantages.
• Monitor the competitive landscape and formulate strategies that reinforce Infineon's leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 15–20+ years in high-impact technical roles in semiconductors (FAE, Systems, Architecture, Design Engineering).
• 5+ years in technical leadership, managing and developing senior technical teams (minimum 8 team members).
• Proven record of enabling significant business creation through customer engagement and technical excellence.
• Deep knowledge of high-power solutions: AC/DC and DC/DC conversion, power factor correction, motor drives, IGBT/MOSFET/GaN/SiC, and industrial power management.
• Familiarity with low-power embedded systems, microcontrollers (MCU), IoT protocols, and energy efficiency standards.
• Exceptional executive-level presentation and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, business acumen, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently across India and internationally.

• Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

• Influence Infineon's global roadmap by translating unique customer requirements into actionable insights for worldwide R&D and product management teams.
• Drive technical enablement by training sales and distribution partners on advanced system designs and Infineon’s product advantages.
• Monitor the competitive landscape and formulate strategies that reinforce Infineon's leadership in power management and embedded solutions.

Your Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience:
• 15–20+ years in high-impact technical roles in semiconductors (FAE, Systems, Architecture, Design Engineering).
• 5+ years in technical leadership, managing and developing senior technical teams (minimum 8 team members).
• Proven record of enabling significant business creation through customer engagement and technical excellence.
