Groupon is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (SDE V) for its Core Operations Services team, a technical leadership role crucial for the company's AI transformation. This position involves managing API gateways, deal catalogs, user identity, and image services across Java, Ruby, and TypeScript stacks. The engineer will contribute to the transition to TypeScript and Encore, collaborate across teams, and leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency in a global marketplace handling over 200K requests per minute.

Must Have

• Shape technical strategy with leadership for high-availability systems

About the Role

Core Operations Services powers Groupon's global marketplace, managing API gateways, deal catalogs, user identity, and image services across Java, Ruby, and TypeScript stacks. You'll contribute to the transition to typescript and Encore, collaborate across teams, and use AI tools to boost efficiency.
