As a lead specialist, you will work with many different disciplines within the railway sector, including signaling, high voltage, and overhead lines. It is therefore important that you are proactive and able to understand the consequences your work has for other disciplines.
Would you like to be part of a well-functioning railway environment where quality, innovation, and professional development are paramount? Then you might be the one we are looking for at Rambøll.
We are experiencing growth in the railway sector at Rambøll, which is why we are looking for several new colleagues. Rambøll works on some of the largest railway projects, both locally in Denmark and internationally.
We are flexible with the workplace, which can be in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, or Vejle.
Inviting bright minds
Do you want to push the boundaries of your profession while developing in an environment where we value collaboration and trust? We work to create a sustainable future, and we strive to set the standard for our industry with inspiring projects and innovative solutions. With us, you become part of a global company that has been successful since 1945. Together, we lead the way and make a positive impact on society, businesses, and people worldwide.
Your responsibilities as a lead specialist or designer on railway projects
Since cables and cable routes are largely affected by earthworks and drainage, part of your work will also involve assessing how cables can be protected or managed in connection with planned excavation work. Experience with civil works is therefore also a great advantage.
As a lead specialist or designer at Rambøll, you will work with design and professional leadership and become an essential part of driving and further developing our professional areas in collaboration with Rambøll's most experienced people and specialists. Your tasks will range from designing new installations and modifications of existing installations at home and abroad, as well as planning and designing smaller and larger tasks within railway infrastructure.
Specifically, your daily tasks could include:
- Design of cable routes on railway projects
- Preparation of relevant technical documentation
- Description of cable handling according to applicable standards and regulations
- Coordination with other disciplines
- Contribution to the preparation of tender documents
- Professional leadership or project management on various projects
By becoming part of Rambøll, your daily life will be characterized by a high degree of sparring, where both professional and personal development are paramount. You will be part of a professionally strong and committed environment that spans from newly graduated employees with the latest knowledge from universities to very experienced employees who have worked in the field for many years.
Your background
We imagine that you are an engineer or have a similar technical background and have experience as a consultant, contractor, supplier, or infrastructure manager. If you are a recent graduate or still studying and find the position right for you, you are also welcome to apply. You have good collaboration skills and the ability to translate your technical knowledge into value-creating advice for your clients. You express yourself clearly in Danish and English, both orally and in writing.
From your first day at Rambøll, we support your personal and professional development. We expect your starting point to be:
- Skills in 2D & 3D design
- Experience with CAD & BIM using Bentley's tools (MicroStation, OpenRail, etc., possibly AutoDesk tools such as AutoCAD)
- You have an education as an engineer with a civil engineering background, alternatively as an electrician.
- You have knowledge of Executive Order 1082
- That you speak and write fluent Danish, just as you speak and write English
- That you are outgoing and passionate about delivering good engineering work
- It is an advantage, but not a prerequisite, that you have experience with handling safety-technical, high-voltage, or overhead line cables on the railway.
In addition, it is an advantage if you have experience working in other languages, especially German.
