At Apple, our Apple Ads group makes it possible for people around the world to easily access informative and imaginative content on their devices while helping publishers and developers promote and monetize their work. The Apple Ads EPM team is looking for a Business Operations Manager to run the operational backbone of Apple Ads Engineering — driving fiscal planning, headcount strategy, and vendor management while building the frameworks and dashboards that inform VP-level decisions. You’ll lead a small team and partner closely with Finance and Engineering leadership to bring precision, transparency, and insight to how we operate.
Good To Have:
  • Background in management consulting, BizOps, or finance operations in a technical environment
  • Prior experience supporting engineering or software development organizations
  • Demonstrated success building operational dashboards and defining key performance metrics
  • MBA or equivalent analytical training
Must Have:
  • Own budgeting, resource headcount, and vendor strategy for Apple Ads Engineering
  • Contribute heavily to fiscal planning by partnering with engineering leaders to forecast operational needs based on multi-year roadmaps and business commitments
  • Collaborate with Finance to form strategic plans and establish methodologies for tracking and managing business costs
  • Oversee vendor strategy to ensure our partners are managed effectively, contracts deliver value, and spend aligns with business priorities
  • Build dashboards and tools that provide real-time insight into spend, staffing, and operational health
  • Continuously improve processes to increase predictability and efficiency in how we plan and track work
  • 5+ years leading operational management in a mid- to large-scale organization
  • 5+ years in fiscal planning, budgeting, headcount forecasting, and long-term business planning
  • 3+ years of people management experience, including leading cross-functional teams and mentoring direct reports
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills; able to distill complex topics into clear narratives

You’ll lead a small team and partner closely with Finance and Engineering leadership to bring precision, transparency, and insight to how we operate. You’ll transform data into clear narratives, define repeatable processes, and enable informed decision-making across a complex technical organization. In this role you will:

  • Own budgeting, resource headcount, and vendor strategy for Apple Ads Engineering
  • Contribute heavily to fiscal planning by partnering with engineering leaders to forecast operational needs based on multi-year roadmaps and business commitments
  • Collaborate with Finance to form strategic plans and establish methodologies for tracking and managing business costs
  • Oversee vendor strategy to ensure our partners are managed effectively, contracts deliver value, and spend aligns with business priorities
  • Build dashboards and tools that provide real-time insight into spend, staffing, and operational health

Success in this role means bringing clarity, predictability, and efficiency to how Apple Ads Engineering plans and operates.

  • 5+ years leading operational management in a mid- to large-scale organization. Consulting or BizOps experience is a strong plus
  • 5+ years in fiscal planning, budgeting, headcount forecasting, and long-term business planning
  • 3+ years of people management experience, including leading cross-functional teams and mentoring direct reports
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills; able to distill complex topics into clear narratives

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,600 and $313,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
