Job Summary
You will join the Thales Bordeaux campus, within the Radar and Space department. Attached to the Head of the Design Office, you will support industrial teams by providing both theoretical and practical expertise in printed circuit board (PCB) design and manufacturability. You will perform causal analyses of non-conformities on electronic boards and propose sustainable investigation plans to ensure effective technical support to production lines.
Must Have
- Perform in-depth analyses of non-conformity causes on electronic boards and their packaging
- Support engineers in various technical missions and independently lead physico-chemical and mechanical tests
- Actively contribute to design reviews and examine definition files to ensure future product solutions are theoretically rigorous and compatible with manufacturing processes
- Ensure proper functioning of the materials laboratory by managing equipment, tests, and ensuring safety rules are respected
- Organize and perform mechanical and physico-chemical tests, then write detailed reports on the results obtained
- Experience in Materials and processes for electronics (PCB and PCBA manufacturing, use of electronic components, electronic boards and packaging)
- Knowledge of materials science and material characterization techniques

On a cutting-edge Bordeaux Campus, between ocean and vineyards, we design and develop systems, equipment, and services to ensure the success of our clients' airborne missions.

Your missions are as follows:
- Perform in-depth analyses of the causes of non-conformities on electronic boards and their packaging,
- Support engineers in various technical missions and independently lead physico-chemical and mechanical tests,
- Actively contribute to design reviews and examine definition files to ensure that solutions for future products are both theoretically rigorous and compatible with manufacturing processes,

Your profile
Are you ready to take on the challenge of integrating an innovative industrial environment?
You have a BTS, BUT or Professional License in electrical engineering, electronics or Materials Science and Engineering and have:
- Experience in Materials and processes for electronics (PCB and PCBA manufacturing, use of electronic components, electronic boards and electronic packaging),
- Knowledge of materials science and material characterization techniques (metallic materials, polymers, composites, elastomers, surface treatments, paint / tensile, bending, shear…).
Are rigor, curiosity, analytical and investigative skills, and good interpersonal skills recognized as your strengths? Then this position is for you!
